Not to be confused with M.2(has a semi circular cutout opposite end to the connection).

Awesome price
Uses a Phison S11 controller so doubt it'll have DRAM, only the P11's onboard 32Mb.
Either way, msata drives are getting harder to find at a reasonable price when you need one - good find OP. Heat added
Hmmm, tempting, I have a Samsung 250GB Msata in the laptop
Looks like this will be shipped from abroad as the delivery time is quite long so for around the same price I can buy it from a UK based store.

Can you expand/explain this a bit more? I have a Drobo 5D3 that I use as a live archive drive and I've wondered about installing an mSATA card in the expansion port to accelerate performance. Would this card be appropriate or is there something about the spec that would preclude it?
I gave up trying to figure out M.2, msata, Mpci express, all so similar yet if you aint really careful, its useless...this tech was supposed to make things easy
Shows "Currently unavailable." Probably OOS

Quality drives will have DRAM (eg. Samsung EVO or Crucial MX) but it's getting harder to know which do or don't with each model release.
mSata is not a popular format so choice of drives is limited and/or expensive. Integral are a decent brand and this is a decent price, but as to specific use in a Drobo 5D3 I'm the wrong person to ask...
I'd guess that with large chunks of write/read data involved (its a storage device after all) DRAM should be on the list however at this price it'd certainly be worth a try.
Linus Tech Tips explains DRAM really well:

This is still available in the 480GB size

here's the deal

I think there was a small batch that were UK based. I ordered Wednesday and got mine next day yesterday.
