Indeed.

I'll repost my findings from the blue 64GB variant.

"Received the Blue 64GB version today.

Read speeds are impressive. Faster than most mechanical drives. You could probably run games off this stick, provided that if they do any caching, they do it to your C: drive.

The write speed is also good. I don't think you'll find any USB stick in this price range that can go faster. 90 seconds to copy over 4GB is great if you ask me."

isnt the write speed a bit slow usb 2.0 sticks write as fast as that

As explained in the comment above yours, the actual write speeds are much faster. And those tests were done using a 4GB file.

There is no chance you would get close to them speeds transferring a 4GB file on USB 2.0.

you can already get them and 1tb versions but at a costly price (for the price your do better with a slimline portable HDD, not much bigger and a lot cheaper, also with the extra size of a HDD makes it harder to lose, would be a female dog to lose a 1tb usb stick worth almost 2k, tho ofc prices will drop within a few years)

I have one of these, average write speed for me is around the 20-25MB/s mark (varies depending on file sizes. Rarely drops below 20MB/s.

your camcorder should have a SD card in it,

just take it out and either put it in your computers memory card reader or if you dont have a memory card reader in your computer buy a usb memory card reader (like this not sure thats the cheapest usb card reader you can get as i didnt look, try "usb card reader SDHC" on ebay/google) *also make sure its full sized cards it reads not micro or mini unless ofc your camcorder is mini/micro cards*

The standard RRP for these USB's are £15 so it's not an amazing saving... Heat, but I think I'll pass this one.
Good price, painfully slow though for USB 3.

thanks alot for the help ..now just need a sd card..sony camera is 4 yr old and doesnt comes with one...anyone knows which one should i get..thanx in advance
The "Get Deal" link takes me to a higher priced seller... but click on the small "6 others from £11.76" to go to the deal posted here
Very poor write speed. There are plenty of superior USB3 sticks around for approx. the same price these days. For an extra couple of pounds, you could save yourself significant amounts of time, whenever you need to transfer all but the smallest size files. USB3 is not the advance people might expect, and certainly not on such cheap devices, with write speeds well below the USB2 maximum.

Can you post a link to the blue one you bought? Thanks.

I bought it back in February for £21 or so from MyMemory. It's gone back up to £25 I think now.
