If you keep an eye out on Amazon their 512gb (476gb useable) nvme can be had for around £50-58 which is nearly 4x the read speed of a SATA drive. Not currently on offer, but I paid £56 for it a few months ago.

Other than read/write difference - is there any other differences? thanks
Personally no I wouldn’t use an adapter. If you only have SATA available you’re better sticking with it. Most laptop and desktop motherboards support both NVME and SATA these days, if you have the option for NVME certainly worth it.
