    Surely Ryzen 5600 at £140 is a better deal? Intel motherboards are incredibly pricey
    Great CPU on the 5600!

    This i5 supports DDR5, so I guess it's just your preference. Can take the DDR5 with you for longevity, but you won't get the same level of arc duration that AMD platform will give you. My take anyway.

    Bang for buck this and the 5600 are pretty decent.

    Can't fault this cpu. Mine is paired with a rtx 2070super and does a good job.

    6 months ago id have agreed, but Ryzen mobos have risen recently and the 12400 is a slightly faster gaming part, so it really depends on what price you can find a motherboard you're happy with.
