Please note, you will need to build this system yourself, which is quite easy with a little help from Google or Youtube.

Assuming you have a keyboard, mouse and monitor, you will need to add a HDD and OS to get going, and also a GFX card if you want to do some serious gaming.

However, the deal seems the cheapest 'combo' yet offered by scan for an Intel i5 2500K unlocked.

To qualify for free delivery, you need to sign up to hexus AV forums as listed for all SCAN deals.

I think this was yesterday's "It's a no-brainer" deal. The web page has been updated and it's not there any more (unless I'm going crazy?) oO

Still on the website, and showing as in stock...oO

I can't see it either? Is your "Today Only" page showing 23rd June at the top?

Darn, its gone already..:(

Weird, as I managed to order one half an hour ago.

I suspect you had the old page still in the browser cache. I was looking at it this an hour earlier - hence why I knew it was there yesterday.

It's quite cheap partly because the motherboard is the D3 Gigabyte one which is very low on the scale, though it does have the Z68 chipset which is a bonus if you're going to add a SSD. It actually seems like a good board for the price (£70.79 on today only) if you don't want to overclock and stuff.

edit: yep, it was posted here not long ago hotukdeals.com/dea…415

The issue is the CPU is unlocked but you need the P68 chipset to overclock it, not the Z68 so its a bit pointless going for the 2500K, good price though!

Good luck trying to return anything, they take weeks and weeks and someone posted, been waiting 3 months of constant calls and email or a replacement hdd from avforums.

I will never shop with them AGAIN after I had to return something.

They should be banned

i returned a screen last month, was a simple and painless procedure

I had the opposite experience last month, i returned a monitor to them, friendly helpful emails and after a couple of weeks the money was back on my card.

I also like how they use DPD as their courier and they even email you to give you a 1 hour window for delivery

Did you try the small claims court for your grievance?

I was a long term ebuyer user but scan have won me over in all fairness so i now shop with them. Never had a bad experience and bought about 5-6 deliveries from them.

I hope not - I've put a Z68/2500k system together this afternoon

You can overclock fine with Z68, however this particular board doesn't have great components for overclocking, sure you can do a mild overclock with it fine but if you want to go higher you should go for one with more power phases and better cooling. H67 is the chipset that doesn't allow for proper overclocking because of the inability to change the multiplier. P67 and Z68 are fine.
