You have an i7 Laptop, WITH a Graphics Card with 2GB 'on-board' RAM for literally next to nothing!, & your worries about lack of HD?.

Pay twice the money mate & get your HD Graphics .....

In case you weren't aware, between the i7 Processor, the 8GB RAM, AND the 2GB Graphics RAM, i'd be really surprised as hell that they'd either be not able to cope with HD Content?, &/or Upscale HD Content in some notably viable way for you?, between the 3 'Devices' Processing Power? .. so what you gonna lose exactly ..... lool. :-)

£470 most certainly isn't 'next to nothing'

you get better refurbs from Dell direct (i.e. Latitude 15 with 3-years onsite warranty, many different configerations)

Got this laptop without dedicated graphics card direct from the Dell Outlet at £360 delivered..

very average cpu these days..., I always thought dell products is of top quality but after having 3 of them I can certainly say that it isnt the case, they are cheaply built and brake soooo often, Let's just say Never again!

what a waste of an otherwise nice spec laptop paired with a terrible low res screen.

The difference in panel cost is not all that big.

As sold price differences are very political.

Looks like a great deal. Some negatives I've found:
1. No DVD drive
2. No touchpad buttons
3. Only has HDMI

Yes, people only ever buy new cars and never used ones.

I've had a Dell Vostro laptop and my daughter a Dell Inspiron for 3 years now both being used for quite a few hours most days and neither have had a single issue in all that time bar my A,S,D keys losing their white lettering due to too much COD playing. However, my experience of a couple of Dell printers I had a few years ago would stop me buying one of their badged printers again.

Great idea, will see if curry's have a 60 inch Sony 3d carry case haha

Dell and refurbished? One or 2 things wrong with this.....I'm voting cold because I highly suspect there is something seriously wrong with these...

I hate to be the third to bash on you. But if you will be plugging a fhd monitor into a laptop, might as well plug it into a desktop instead.

no DVD drive is a positive for most people just like no floppy drive. Move on and get a flash drive.

How do you watch your DVDs then? Also, if you really don't need a DVD drive, you can always put a second hard disk in there instead.

it's a "U" processor and not an "M" processor -_-

That must be because they are sooo fast....

What is a DVD? Is that like the 'floppy' disks we read about in the history books? I believe there are legion external peripherals to cater for your legacy media compatibility needs

I too am a fan of the ODD adapter with second HDD/SSD drive but I wouldn't allow my buying to be driven on that basis. Better to plough that money into a larger SSD or an mSATA - HDD combo if I needed a better speed/storage balance...?

Don't listen to the old people with butchered crinkly retinas, the screen will be awful.

Anything lower than 1920x1080/1200 on a notebook these days, especially at almost £500, is inexcusable.

But Dell are just one of many scam artists constantly clearing inventory of old cheap screens whilst charging a premium upgrade option for anything better.

You can find it cheaper refurbished and not much different brand new. Cold.

Agreed, laptop makers are continuing to scam people making them pay over the odds for good screens. They've been peddling the same crappy screens for years and it's quite laughable.

Dell business laptops hit the top competing with the 'Thinkpad' around 2007. It's been a downhill road ever since.

Sorry didn't realised I was looking at a deal for a car.

bugup

Who buys a second hand car for £469?

I bought a second had car for £70, replaced any parts likely to have worn other than engine ones as the compression was excellent & exhaust solid. Obviously did all service parts. Upped the boost from the turbo and converted it to run on vegetable oil.

Its driven to eleven countries now at a max price of 70p a litre & gets 12-14 miles per litre on those long runs.

That's not the only thing you don't realise, evidently.

looking at the spec of this laptop one thing is very surprising that how come battery is only 3 cell.

Correction to my earlier post - got this exact laptop inc. graphics card direct from Dell Outlet at £360. Looks brand new.
