Hi.

As to my post on the Ryzen Mobo system (still going Ryzen since i have a Intel i7-5820k rig), thought i'd share this if someone is wanting to build a cheap Intel rig with the full Z170 features on a premium board. Plenty of upgrade path later on in the future when you change the 7350k.

Intel have had to reduce the prices since Ryzen release (i3-7350k was £170 now £99 on scan, kapow!) so there are some really good deals coming out with the older Z170 boards. This is a great board with some awesome reviews. You also get the Dawn of War III Video Game free.

Note free delivery via AV forum etc...

FYI - Ryzen mobo post (Cashback expires on the 31/07/2017, tomorrow!!)

Lol, 2 cores in 2017?

Many people manage with 2 brain cells.... 2 cores is more than adequate

7350K for £99 is the price it should have been from launch to stifle Ryzen competition.

decent deal, voted hot.
misprice since the mobo is £191 from Scan on its own

ordered one

Isn't that board a little OTT for that CPU ?

Its all about OC to the max (K chips are unlocked) whether 2,4,6, 8 cores etc, but ensures future upgrade when CPUs get cheaper (buying used etc)

Agree, glad AMD are back in the game, nothing wrong with some healthy competition

Just be looking to shift old stock, along with the price drop of the i3, not a amazing deal imo, about a 50 quid saving but only worth it if you're happy with the i3

would make a decent HTPC/gaming rig for the living room, this CPU does support hardware DRM?

I'd say so. But as mentioned leaves plenty of room for an upgrade

I have this board, currently running with an i7-7700K (needs a BIOS update) and I am very happy so far.

Because its I3 and 7xxx so close together I misread this as I7 and almost shat myself. If I could mouse1 that fast in games I'd probably be a pro or something.
It is a good deal, judging things as we are on how cheap the same thing is at other places.

But the only desktop dual core I could stomach buying in 2017 is the G4560. If that isn't enough for your requirements then you need a quad core, not a faster dual.
You reckon I can get a 100 quid for the cpu?

Only a few sold on ebay, most went for around 100, so i'd say 80-90 after fees and postage or sell locally, could be a wait selling it though.
Great deal

Running 4930k since it's release. But already thinking about upgrading to zen2 then it comes up :-)

It is hyperthreaded though which is far better than just 2 cores with single threads.

Lol Google hyperthreading
£100 dual core. LOL Intel. Even with hyperthreading that's weak.

If it was only £100 it would be okay but the list price is about £170.
Because it can hit 5GHz it does okay versus the Ryzen 3 quads which lack HT which are around a ton but at £170 it's a bad joke.

Lol, no deals and stupid and capable of stupid comments in 2017.....oh the shame.
You're only half as into the wilderness as AMD's 10 years.
404 error. Deal gone?
gone now, damn.
Page pulled??? 404
How does this chip compare to i5-4690k?
Half the number of cores. ~6% increase in IPC, 400MHz quicker than unlocked boost.

So faster for single/dual threaded performance, slower for anything that utilises all the cores. An i5 is still the sweet spot.
