Nice one, thanks for posting GotBass
Picture is of an i5 but the deal is for an i7. Nice and confusing
Yeah it’s an i5 not an i7
i5
I stand to be corrected but the retail one, albeit a fancy box etc, would have a 3 year guarantee versus 1 with this?
It's the i5-8600K not i7 as posted, heads up.
Buggy.
Unless you change the title to i5 (which is the correct processor) you’ll keep getting cold votes. The title is misleading and time wasting.
Maybe the implication is that the i7 after the security updates is as fast as the i5!
Relax, only joking.
I won't touch any Intel CPU given that the minimum 5% performance loss after new security update.

Also affects AMD no? Let's stop making this a solely manufacturer issue.... If it wasnt for the fact that there's scumbags out there that exploit, it wouldnt be an issue. They're just as much to blame
There are several issues, and intel suffers them all, including potentially the biggest performance hit. And given Intels attitude to enthusiasts its only fair we give them some pain for this.
But i agree, the biggest issue is the scumbags that exploit things like this.

Only if you do certain things. It affects servers the most for instance not your normal day to day processes
