What a bizarre response. I think you're missing our point. Never mind, clever clogs.
lol the things that pass as deals best current price maybe but deal? I don't think so it's still £50 overpriced from rrp its power consumption is through the roof and for very little benefit over the 6 core i5's add to which the cost of the only available z370 mobo's.
this is not a deal I really wish these stupid things would stop being posted, oh its a pound cheaper here so lets relist it as a deal, no. sorry.

Also amazon £348.09

link to the UK RRP please.
Power consumption through the roof, nope.
'little benefit' over i5, yer OK.

Let me guess you have an i5 and trying to justify your purchase...

It batters the 1800X when you look at collated tests such as this: techpowerup.com/rev…tml

Plus overclocks even further so why shouldn't it? They are charging what they know they can sell it for.

Hopefully AMD steps up for Ryzen 2. Intel and Nvidia are charging way too much

Summit Ridge is the name of refresh and if AMD do nothing else but manage to ramp the clocks well beyond 4GHz it'll help tremendously. Single threading and gaming will benefit most.

If they add small IPC improvements as well then bonus.
