I don't understand Amazon. On the search results for this it says from £322 and on Camelcamelcamel it says the price is £322 (and i got a price drop alert) but when you go to order, that price simply is not there.

Its important to note that with Amazon Global Store you will not be covered by manufacturer warranty. Something to consider on a part this expensive.

True, but to be fair, I trust Amazon more than I trust most manufacturer warranties!

£322 is without the import fees. (If you hover over the "Import Fees Deposit" link next to the price you can see the breakdown.)

As do I but if I understand their T's & C's right it is limited to 30 days return. You'd have to thoroughly stress test the part in that time frame and reach a decision. If your shiny new Z370 motherboard is ordered or delivered late for any reason that eats in to your return deadline.
I'm not saying its a 100% don't purchase but it will put some people off and I'd hate for someone to order without noticing.

Can amazon us be refunded?

Oh, no, you've misunderstood - we pay them £391 for this CPU, not the other way around!

More seriously: yes, Amazon.com refunds international payments, no problems. I place 5-10 orders with them every year and occasionally get refunds for overestimated import fees, delivery problems, and one case of a defective item. It's not a separate payment back - it's a partial reversal of the original transaction, so there are no extra currency charges or anything like that.

Amazon is almost worst seller on the net. Their store is atrocious

Just put a call into Amazon Global Store support. Can confirm that you still get a 12 month warranty with this even though it’s coming from the US to the UK.

The only time I've been in a position where it a full refund would have been appropriate (i.e. the item needed returning), they just told me to keep the item, so I'm afraid I don't know 100% about the return shipping.

But knowing Amazon, if it's a defective item, keep the receipt when returning it and their CS should refund you the return costs. Or, as their T&C says, "At our discretion, Amazon US may elect to issue a refund without requiring a return or taking title to the refunded item."

My experience and my best guess is that, if your 8700K is faulty on arrival and you contact them about it, they would offer you a choice of replacement or refund. (Contact them via live chat - very easy! :))

Some iffy looking reviews about alza here m.pricespy.co.uk/sto…742

But each to their own. Personally I prefer Amazon for customer service.

Thanks, it seems they import staffs when they get the order, not like other grey imports, have UK warehouse or store at amazon warehouse. You are right, it seems amazon is more safer and trouble free choice

That's a pleasant surprise!

I might actually grab one of these but I'm still on the fence about which motherboard to use. Wish Asus would release the Maximus X Code so I can see it reviewed.

I’m in a similar boat when it comes to motherboard selection. Got the X Hero in mind but would also like to see a Code and subsequent review. Additionally I want to go with the Kraken X62 AIO cooler. But this overlaps a RAM slot (unless low profiles are used). Making a selection really difficult.
