I've been in the market for one of these , and this is the best price I've come across, and it's in stock which most places don't seem to have.

Not for everyone, but one of the best value CPUs for single core clock out there, and the ability to overclock all 8 cores to 5Ghz is immense for this price.

Perfect for gaming and workstations alike.

I think i bought an OEM version of 9900k new a year ago from ebay when they had a 20% off on, for £350, i can hit all core 5ghz at 1.315v on air, not sure if these are worth it to be honest, paying 50% more a year later for something that can do what mine can?

Thanks for the insight... It's been annoying me for a while whether to go for the cheaper K, KF or this?!

Seems like pot luck to get all core to 5ghz on the K but most people do tend to say that can achieve it!
Very little better than the 9900k. Pointless buy over the cheaper 9900k imo
Can't see the point in the "ks" personally.

I got one of these and clocked to 5ghz anyway

Now I'm thinking it's the 9900k or a Ryzen 9 3900x... Mainly for video editing and graphics work with a bit of gaming here and there.... Thoughts?

Sounds like your trolling
Multiple nvme drives and 12 cores or an obsolete platform and 8 extremly hot and ineficiant cores at a lower IPC?

And for cost bare in mind the 3700x runs the 9900ks closer performance wise than the ks runs the 3900x.
comes with a free Red Dead Redemption 2 now- pretty good deal if you're after a new high-end cpu
