If you wanted to build this pc it would cost £240 on ebuyer.

Hot Deal!

Note these will come as individual parts and you need to build it yourself

Wow, that's a heck of a deal!

Rant....
Grrrr hate this site! If only I had £200, my pc's feeling its age! Grrrrr
Rant over!

Have some heat:D

mmmm.... not bad, thanks

Good deal, but the RAM is DDR2.

Good deal, but the RAM is DDR2.

You will not need more than 4GB for at least another three years

Strange how the i5 combo stresses it needs Heatsink and Fan and this doesn't although it's not mentioned... also needs a psu but still a great price! Hot.

EDIT - Sorry, should've read again - 500W Ezcool PS-10 Silent, 80mm Fan, 24+4pin, ATX12 v2.03

Are there instructions on how to put it all together?

Blimey, I got vertigo when I checked out the Passmark rating:

Intel Core i7-2600K @ 3.40GHz Passmark 9,679

edit: oops, this processor was the first on the page the link took me too, it is NOT the one in this deal (would have been awesome deal if it was (_;) ).

CPU is outdated.

Not worth it.

Out dated? I have an older one that still runs a ton of newer games, this is good for basic PC that can play the odd game if you add a graphics card.

Including delivery 208.77.......
:-((((((

this is a brilliant price, i'd buy it myself, but i just got a zotac barebones unit to use as a htpc a couple of days ago.

Still can't see a downside to this... great for the parents etc.

The i5 combo needs a HSF as it is the OEM chip and not the retail. The retail Intel chips come with the stock cooler. The OEM chips are only the chip (and cheaper as a result) so you have to buy a separate HSF of your choice. The have to stress it as if you try and run the setup without a HSF you will burn out the chip as they run very hot without a HSF.

Why are people complaining about things like 'DDR2 memory' and 'outdated chip'? This is a high-performance computer for £200 - Core 2 Duo is plenty fast enough for most people and DDR2 memory is what they run on, I very much doubt anyone could tell the difference just by speed in a DDR2 and DDR3 machine specced otherwise equivalently. 4GB RAM and a quality branded case is a bargain at this price. Next thing, someone will moan it doesn't include an AMD Radeon HD6970 in the price!

Anyway a great deal and voted HOT here.

any ideas how to add this machine to the basket? Or do you have to select the individual parts into the basket?

Now expired - does anyone have any good alternatives within ~£50 of the price?
