seems like the best deal around to me, voted hot. this is a potent cpu so you get what you pay for really.

If it sells out here, then buytech.co.uk

It's amazing how things get so cold without anyone being brave enough to comment why. Seems like a good price for what it is - please post cheaper if available.

i think the Q6600's better value for money. £100 less for around 0.7GHz less...

Hmmm, comparing this 2.66GHz processor at £209 with a 2.4GHz Q6600 (from the same supplier) at £125.
Is the 11% increase in speed really worth the 67% increase in price? Is there something I'm missing, apart from the extra 4MB of cache.

The Q9450 is faster clock for clock, and should run cooler. For boards with Digital PWM like my Abit Quad GT it allows for better overclock as it keeps the PWM cooler.

Why are people voting this cold? This is a very good deal

As good as this CPU is maybe we’ve been spoiled by the Q6600 G0 which is now nearer £120 so although the price is relatively good for now it’s hard to get excited about it really.

voted hot...now all we need is a good deal for a 9900 gtx (GT200) and I am set for a new upgrade

ahh fair enough
but i don't think the average HUKD user will need that much raw computing power

Good deal, voted hot. Also agree with comments regarding q6600 being excellent value, but this is a different animal altogether. Please don't vote cold because you wouldn't buy one, vote on the price, which is cheap

This has 12mb of cache compared to the 8 mb the Q6600 has! Hot hot hot
