Cold Deal

Chilly chip
cheesy chip
No the Threadripper 1950 is a CPU for grown ups.
As this is a a DEAL's website this is a good price so hot from me.
How is this cold? The cheapest it's been according to PCpartpicker's tracker is £457.79

This website isn't "which is the best CPU for your personal preferences" ... it's about good deal. And this is a good deal on this chip, if this is the chip you want.

Both of the better Threadripper chips are a solid jump up in price, and if you need Intel HEDT for some reason, then this is probably the best value option. If you can live with a hex core, the 8700k is better value, and if it's just 8 cores, the R7 1700 is probably better value, but if you need as many cores and as high clock speed as possible for under £500, this is probably the one.

Honestly.
Don't let common sense get in the way of voting though
Heat from me.
All the stupid sheep on this website who heard someone say these are bad value vote cold when they are clearly clueless as to what these chips are for, this is the lowest price for a cpu with 8 cores that are fast, and this is what makes this a good deal if you need 8 fast cores without wanting to spend the extra money for a better threadripper. So hot.

And the Ryzen 8C/16T lineup starting with 1700 for almost half the price is non existent in your world? Oh right, these are 8 "fast" cores as opposed to AMD's "slow" 8 cores, correct? If you're buying an 8+ core CPU, you're obviously either shi**ing money or going for a workstation build with heavy usage in mind. In that scenario the Ryzens will do just as fine if not equally as many benchmarks online show. I'm not including gaming performance because it is not relevant when it comes to these CPUs and yes I know Ryzens are way weaker in games than Intel but I will never justify 5-10% FPS improvement for £200 price difference. BTW I'm a long time Intel user but your comment just screams fanboy.

Lol fanboy really? What if you want to work on ur pc and play games. That's the point of 8 fast cores and why someone would want this processor. Simple really.

Well if you want to work and play games with a couple frames higher for twice the price, go ahead, great choice lol. You simply can't deny these are very bad value compared to what Ryzen can offer at the moment.
