Great price, similar akai one in Asda recently for around £19 I think. Hot
I think Sodapoppin (twitch streamer) had one of these bought for him, looked like lots of fun.
Not for audiophiles i know but for a bit of fun its perfect also you could never beat this price anywhere so expect ebay could be flooded with these soon

So who's going to buy it then?
Geez guys, these things are well known to harm vinyl. The bloke was pointing this out. If you use it with any records, you will destroy the little grooves that hold the "information" that is the sound. If someone gets this and then thinks they'll borrow Dad's first edition pressing of a Led Zep album, catastrophe!

Highlighting this "trait" to people who might not know should be understood to be a positive comment.

I doubt you'd slate people if for instance they posted on a hosepipe deal that the thing fell apart and leaked after 5 mins use.

I can't think of any situation where I'd be happy to treat records as a disposable commodity. If you think they are, then I think your mindset is wrong.
my dad loves this, he plays his old vynyl in the man shed :-)
Jesus christ deleted comments & so much controversy all for a cheapo record player to play your old shakin stevens records on, this site is nuts

It's all scaremongering if you are going to listen to a few records now and then this will be fine it would take years to ruin a record on this and if you ask your mum about the record player she had years back i bet it was a cheapo one no offence but all my vinyl is ok and i played it on some right old crap in the 80s as most other people did.
might buy one just as a retro ornament

Exactly as i said it's not for your vinyl nerds it's for the old stuff that 99% of us never play anymore and stuck in a box in the shed and this would be a bit of fun, people know thats what its for but still like to comment and scaremonger.

All dependent on the tracking force. do you know what it is for this model? reckon its about 5-6g which was the standard weight at one time and if you have a lot of second hand records from years ago theyll probably be played by decks simiar in tracking force to this.
id be more concerned over if the stylus is sapphire, if so change it to a diamond one and them crappy built in speakers, even so for £15 well worth it just a play a few old records now and again.
