Nice find!

HOT!!!

Toasty

thanks

Nice

super

By all the one word replies am i right in assuming these are the dogs then was going to hang on for a 32gb

The 32Gb version is £21 so this one is much better value per Gb.

[note that the 5 star reviews all relate to the 32Gb version]

Yes, you can. Not a stupid question if you don't know :-)

great usb2 speeds too according to a reviewer

read 31mb/s write 19mb/s (usb2)

tempted but will wait for the 32 gb one to reduce

EDIT: no lanyard attachment means no purchase for me

Maximum Write Transfer Rate: 25 MB/s

No thanks. A USB 3.0 device should be able to eke out more than an extra 6 MB/s over its USB 2.0 write speeds.

For a flash drive, that's fast but then there's the question "why have a USB 3 flash drive?"

For Windows-to-go, Kingston are releasing a 32GB and 64GB USB 3 SSD:
legacy.kingston.com/wtg…d=2

80MB/s read and 60MB/s write fast enough for you?

The write speed is actually decent for such a cheap device. My USB 3.0 16GB Patriot Supersonic Pulse drive only writes at 20MB/s and that costs £9.50.

80MB/s read and 60MB/s write fast enough for you?

Yes. That's the kind of territory USB 3.0 devices should be aiming for. There are USB 2.0 drives out there which achieve faster write speeds than 25 MB/s (Patriot Xporter, Corsair GTR etc).

EDIT: typo.

If you need drivers for the ExpressCard, please see the first comment in this (expired, but still valid) "Deal" (thread):

"Laptop Expresscard 54 slot USB 3.0 x 2 Port Adapter up to 5Gbps £6.60 @ Amazon (Clever Gadgets)"

Also note the warnings from others about the flush-fit versus ejecting the card from the PC casing, power not being sufficient for some external hard drives, & the maximum data throughput.
