Interest free Hyundai deals

This is available on many different models as of right now but I just thought that this is excellent. No interest paid on these cars is good and with interest rates so poor in the bank you won't miss out on much by paying the large deposit. Only a 3 year term as well. I phoned the dealer up there and found out Hyundai right now are offering 3 years free servicing when you trade in a Hyundai against the new generation i10

£9.5k for an i10? You can see how they make it 'interest free'.

I10s are the top city car... With no tax and cheap insurance it's ideal for city dwellers, students, dare I say it? Women drivers....

£9495 for a Hyundai I10 is terrible!!
I bought an I10 1.2 Active about 18 months ago for £5700 or there abouts brand new and delivered to the front door.
It has a 5 year warranty but no free services. How can they add almost 3700 although I do appreciate it is the new model
Cold from me!!

I'd love to know where you got an £8000 car for £5700 tbh! In fact I'd buy one! Lol

Understanding how much any new car depreciates should deter anyone with a shrewd financial sense from buying them. The best deals arguably, are those cars 1-2 years old, where the initial hit of depreciation has gone yet the balance of manufacturer warranty is intact and provides the necessary reassurance.

Great cars heat added

It was a deal posted on some UK hot deals website. Now what was the name of it..

It will depreciate yeah but you're getting 3 free services with this to offset the cost of depreciation. Plus with it being a 3 year term you can trade it in and expect to get about 6k back from it.

You expect an 8k Hyundai to be worth 6k in 3 years lol?

it will be worth 6k resale the moment you purchase it i would say! Cars are the biggest cash sink going. Enjoy a new car but they will nosedive in value as soon as you own it.

I just got 3k for a 6 year old i10 today?

Admittedly I take very good care of cars and it is in exquisite condition but that doesn't account for that much to a dealer like

Oh £3k to a dealer, I take it you were doing a part-ex deal?

Original Poster

Yeah. 3k from the car plus the rest for the deposit and then the listed monthly price. Tbh I think it's a good deal. I test drove the car and it's a definite improvement.

Hyundai are asking £16,000 for the i30 which was £11,000 during the Scrappage scheme (and then an extra £2,000 off for my 13 year old banger so £9,000 in cold hard).
Weird that I could afford a new car during the recession but in no way could afford the same car new nowadays.
Hyundai seem to be only after the fleet and expensed buyers these days.
Good cars, good service but this deal is COLD on price.

You get what you pay for im afraid. Sure if you want a car without a radio then by all means go for a Sandero lol. The fact is that for a city car it's between this and the VW UP! And both are coming in at this price.

I'm afraid that as technology and standards improve prices will simply increase. Add to that inflation and hey there you go. I think everyone will admit the new i30 looks far better than the old one

In general cars haven't kept up with inflation over the years, companies like Ford and Vauxhall haven't increased anywhere near what Hyundai/KIA have in recent times. The real increase is because they used to make their name as cheap and reliable, now they have a loyal customer base and a more successful brand they can keep up the prices and get in line with the other brands and give a more premium image.

Have a look at the price the Metro used to start at 23 years ago, almost the same as a Sandero, Alto or sometimes a C1/107.

In general we are getting more for less nowadays.

Even so, I don't see why there is a Hyundai witch hunt on here? I don't understand how the price can be cold since this is a deals website and it's a 0%apr finance with three years free servicing. This is a deal? Lol I don't see how it's a bad one.

It's not a witch hunt, they make good cars, but £9.5k is just too much money for an i10. If it was sub £7k then it would be a flaming hot deal as previous deals have shown.

It sounds like you got a generous part ex because you paid the MRP, but no one should be paying the MRP unless it's something exotic or special.

Free metallic paint thrown in and a free tank of fuel so I remembered to haggle lol.

Plus it's a lot bigger I think than the old one as well more like an i20 now
