What the developers have to say:
“We're a small team pouring our blood, sweat and tears into delivering an FPS that merges the best from tactical shooters with believable science fiction and role-playing-- think Half-Life meets System Shock, giving birth to Rainbow Six in space!

By purchasing Early Access to Interstellar Marines, you’re actively supporting the development of the game, and as we release frequent updates we invite you to give your feedback and suggestions to help us create the best game possible.”

nice find op, heat added

Game is pants, had it from a bundle ages ago and it is sadly under developed

... Updated: seems a lot of updates have been made since I've last played it, receives mostly positive reviews now on steam, although you have to accept the early access ethos.

I bought the game before it went Early Access on the promise of a strong single-player campaign. Said campaign has yet to emerge at all, since the devs seem to be spending all their time on the multiplayer aspect, which is what you'll be getting if you buy the game yourselves. TECHNICALLY there's single-player support, but it's basically just bot matches, so... yeah.

To say I'm disappointed in the game is an understatement.

Was my initial thoughts too when I first had it (you've put it much better than I did). The reviews today seem to indicate it's advanced somewhat but I'm still not that tempted to try it again just yet
