But maybe it's a good deal because when in a 10 years time we don't have any more water, it will be good to watch an empty pool and reminiscent about.

To be fair he’s paid for the water so he can do as he pleases with it .

Used a pool for 4 months last summer, wasn't a novelty at all - I think this more a reflection on your family if anything

Cost about £13 to fill if you are on a meter and inform them it’s not going to drain
I have 10ft and a heater , cost £10 a day to get to 27c 🥴

Looking about £30 a day to heat haha
Edited by: "ashmac" 12th Jul
So I'm guessing 8 Tons of water to fill (4x2x1).

8 Tons of water to heat up with Electricity by ~20°C.

Quick paddle, then 8 Tons of water to drain away to the sea.

M'kaayyyyy...

Just go to the beach, or a river or swimming pool.

A state of disorder... We’re probably one of the most civilised countries. If you want to see disorder, try going to an African nation.

I have the best lawn in my street due to them being unable to install a meter at my property. Something to do with a lamp post being in their way. Alas there's no way I'm not going to take advantage of that situation.

Knife crime is on the rise, lack of police offices on the streets, hospitals are over crowded & under funded and as a country we have been in a state of limbo for the last 3 years but all the pails in comparison to buying a 4m pool for your family, i've had my priorities all wrong for years.
Cheers for the update snowflakes.Great deal by the way
WATER companies waste more than we use.

(Sorry about the pun but)

LET THAT SINK IN !
Stick it in your garden with your swing set and trampoline. Stay classy hukd

In fairness I'll give you some heat, I was debating a rectangular pool but nothing in my price range with a ladder and pump. Young Kids family of 4 trying to beat the heat, I could list a lot of other ways to burn your cash. I settled for this one in the end. As hot as it is and will be, I agree it is not a novelty. I will try to add it. But hope it helps someone looking for a pool.

Rain predicted over the next few days, get it out there
I got the 4x2x1 . Any suggestion son chemicals chlorine etc. have yet to put mine up.

Was thinking of getting plasterboard on the lawn first before putting this on top , is this a bad idea?

The heatwave will all be over long before you fill it and heat it.

We have the 3 x 2 intex frame. We use a floating chlorine dispenser with the tablets. Put it in when it's not being used and take it out when kids go in. Use a pump for about 4 hours if it's mild, 6 if it's a hot day. Skim the top of it daily and use algaecide. Simple really.

We didn't put anything down on the lawn. We used the foam play mats on the grass to stop it getting muddy when kids are jumping in and out.

Are you actually stupid enough to think water isn't globally recirculated? Hilarious.
Got this exact one a few months ago and it honestly costs nothing to heat I’ve simply used a solar cover and especially today or so it’s kinda too hot to even wanna get in!

Filter pump running 24/7 about £5/week.

Yeah, how dare people keep their kids entertained over the summer with anything other than an Iphone or Xbox? What a dumb comment.

It's a reference to this story:

moneyweek.com/504…er/

Basically, the South East up to Birmingham-ish there's way too many people for an area with relatively low rainfall and a country with regional water supplies. So we need a connected water grid and/or a better distribution of people across the country.

Or to put it another way, the economy is too heavily focused on that strip from Dover to Birmingham. And as a result, people in that area could find they have water issues a few decades from now.
