when its possible any suggestions for best places to start using these in …when its possible any suggestions for best places to start using these in the north west/north wales pls?

I'm from the North West. Many a year ago, while in the scouts, I had my first go at canoes and kayaks. I'm no expert, but I've rented them abroad to have an explore. They're lots of fun.

I'd say the best places to use them are on water.

If you're a non-swimmer, I'd say the best place to use them is on land, and use your imagination to pretend you're on water.
Once the heavens stop with the virus, they will send us the floods!

Ordered 10!
Anyone thinking of using one in the sea , don't bother. They're about as stable as Gazza after a 3 day bender.

Don't worry as long as they use Hermes we'll be safe....
I have an inflatable kayak. Brilliant. Not the most stable but brilliant in summer

Really don’t need a kayak but so tempted by such a good deal. Really inappropriate buy when you live in the midlands
How long do you reckon it would take me to get from the port of Hull to the Algarve on one of these?

Just thinking about my 3 months isolation, social distancing, only going out for some exercise.

Lake District is good, aim for a campsite next to a lake and make it part of the holiday. There's a few to choose from e.g. Ullswater, Coniston, Wast Water etc.

The river Dee from Farndon to Chester is a great route. And you don't need a license! I've bought one for that reason. Plus I can go fishing in it, even with my dog 😁🐟 See the YouTube videos of the kayak.

Bought this the last time it was on offer early last summer. Haven't used it at sea, but got it out on a couple of lochs and it was great fun, surprisingly stable. Rental at the closest water sports place was £35/2 hours for a 2-man canoe. Use it more than once, or for more than 2 hours, and you've had decent value.
Can you actually fit 2 adults in it? The back seat looks too close to the front one to be suitable for anyone other than a small child

I'm in the Midlands, where are you?
I was using mine regularly until I bought a paddleboard instead.

Can use on rivers and canals and the occasional lake or reservoir.

Need to have a permit to use in most places, normally covered by membership to the British canoeing or water skills academy.
Bought 2. Hope they are better than the one I bought in Lidl a couple of years back.

Plenty of canals i suppose
I bought one of these last year. The Skeg (fin underneath) keeps the kayak well balanced and I've enough confidence in it to venture quite a way off shore. It's a fun piece of kit and at this price it's a bargain!

I have one of these. Been on the lochs with my kids (age 8&9), 2 adults been in calm seas around Kintyre. Even let the kids play on their own with a rope tied to it so they can't drift off (life jackets on too, of course)! Great fun

Have one Love it. A bargain at this price. Used on canal ways so far in Derbyshire with Cannot union membership you can wander all over. When uncle Boris says it's safe of course.
Why not wait for the end of C19 sale, Amazon will have loads of unwanted stock
70 odd quid is their standard sale price, they've got to do more
Thanks OP. I guess I needed one.
It's estimated for delivery on the 29th of April. Plenty of time to change my mind:)

Would be a nightmare trying to reel a person on board once youd caught them!

Tub is superfluous.
The word bath is perfectly fine in the UK.

Yes - managed fine. You have to bend your knees some and the person in front will be sat between your knees, but it's comfortable and works fine
If not at least 2 m between, then I would say it is 1 person kayak
The irony, I only mentioned this in a thread about things I never used the other day - this was on the list lol!
it sat under my stairs for 2 years - I did use the pump for airbeds.
I sold it to a workmate - it sat in his garage 1 year.
He sold it to my boss - he used it twice then punctured it then sank and hasn't used it since!.

Or the bath, if you can fit it in.
