I like this battery, bought it through PC advisor pcadvisor.co.uk/rev…ew/ at £23, nice deal.

No point. Takes about 6 hours to charge my 4200mAh charger case fully, I can only imagine how long it'd take to charge this big āss thing

ec technology do a battery for £17.99 which is 15000mAh. nearly 1/3 more capacity however doesn't come with a case

Anyone tried some of these power banks for salvaging 18650 cells? They cost the same as single Panasonic cell but must contain probably 6 cells. I'm just not sure what brand and capacity they use.

the point is you charge over night and you don't have to worry about power on long day out or weekend, you will have the power. I would also suggest invest in a multi port charger each port gives you up to 3amps and charge times are much faster for most devices, I use a Choe 50w. inteli. charger , which is cheaper and more power than Anker which is also good.

also worth noting the power figures you see are optimal and theoretic. you realistically, got to reduce that figure by 20%, ish , so you get about 200ma less than the stated figure.

Right, so you're complaining because this has a large battery in it and by the laws of basic physics, it takes too long to charge in your book?

If your 4200mAh battery took 6 hours to charge and we assume 70-80% efficiency then you were either using a 500mAh USB port on a computer or low-power wall charger which would make that your fault... Do yourself a favour and get a 5V 2A (10W) charger then come back and comment.

Just wondering.. Were you also supplied a review sample for that choe tech intelli charger? Just curious because it looked good but the number of "unbiased" reviews from free samples were off putting.

The choe I bought from Amazon ,when I bought it the 20 or so reviews were 5 star. been using it a couple of weeks , very happy no problems. I was not sent a free sample etc. bought from Amazon and I reflect my own personal opinion.

This probably comes with a high wattage and amperage charger, so should be much quicker than those tiny phone chargers.

Power banks rarely ever come with a charger, just a usb cable.

the best "after 15 hours of research", wow, very good.

Unless you need something small and portable, the Vinsic 20000mah is a better deal. Has a better design and much higher capacity for less than a fiver extra. I've got one and it's fantastic. This isn't a bad deal though.

Also all portable chargers are between 65-70% efficient so I'd expect about 7,500mAh is available to use.

Who would buy these if there is a XIAOMI one?

This review from The Wire Cutter initially had it as their #1 pick for portable battery pack (later replacing it in the top spot with the 2nd gen Anker Astro E4, but it's still their runner up pick, and that's at a $40 cost), and I usually trust The Wire Cutter's reviews on most things.

V interesting review. Thanks. There were a few reported duds for the intocircuit it seems. I don't own this one but I do have a 2nd gen anker e4 and thoroughly recommend it. The customer service from anker is amazing.

it says "The promotional code you entered has expired"
when I entered the code on the "Gift cards & promotional codes" box.
