Would be interested to hear how good this is if anyone gets one!

Looks cool though, could watch tv at work :-)
I had one like this years ago, the signal on it was rubbish on it so I couldn't get many channels, the one's I could, I couldn't see!
but like morpheus I'd like to know if anyone gets one if they are any good, especially Euro 2008 coming up, would be good for work/ the train!
cant find any details on their website about battery life.
Looks decent, battery life and signal for DVB would be interesting though. but even still, cheaper than the smaller pocket TV's of old.
Unless you live 100 metres from the transmitter the signal will be dismal. I've got a "portable" DVB TV and it only picks up a signal with an external antenna connected and I live in a good signal area.

with digital TV its prettty much all or nothing with regards to signal. if its not strong enough it just wont get any picture - unlike analougue where you could get varying qualities and just put up with a bit of a 'grainy' picture.
Great price, but id have doubts over it on the move...I got a portable DAB, and it was terrible unless I was sitting still.

Suppose it could all depend on where you live.
It says £60 on ebuyer, or is there some hidden promo im missing? :P

Yeah battery life aint impressive, but Im thinking about it for my mum... She's likely to take it with her if she's going out for the day somewhere, or out in the garden... and for that it seems fine.

Just a bit weary about whether she'll get a decent signal here, especially with it's built-in aerial which is always cheapie cheap.
Video & Audio formats : 4:3?

Most channels are using 16:9:roll:

They've put the price up by a fiver
The price is back to £54.99 now!!!

Just trying to convince myself to buy hubby one for crimbo???
Looks good though

I'm pretty sure you will still be able to view 16:9 channels, the only problem is you will get black bars at the top and bottom (Just like you used to get when watching wide screen DVDs on an old 4:3 TV, there is no image lost just black bars added).
These are rubbish you never get a signal...These have to be connected to an External Digital aerial to get a decent picture...

You have been warned...
Well after reading various reviews on loads of other websites, I have decided to buy one of these for my partner for xmas. I will let you all know what it is like once I've received it....Bargain price for £54.99 inc p&p
I have one of these, from a similar offer at Savastores recently (check the Savastores deals from a few weeks ago). Overall I am pleased with it. I was able to watch Sky news from my car in a McDonalds car park in South London without any problem. Picture is OK when TV set is still. Works indoors fine, but you may need to find a good spot. There are signal strength and quality indicators to help you.

Tuning is easy, one touch. Remote small but easy to use. 16x9 is shown as letterbox, but thats fine for me. The supplied leads allow you to output the signal into a TV, but it will show as letterbox on a 4x3 screen. You need to use "movies" setting on home TV to get full screen on 16x9. 4x3 is shown correctly. This means you have a pocket sized freeview box that you can use with a hotel or caravan TV. Handy eh? Sound quality is quite good. Comes with stereo headphones, TV has one speaker, but despite being small, the sound from the speaker is very clear.

Regarding the aerial, well, there is no connection for an external one, so check at ]http//ww…ome before you buy!!

Battery life is as described. The battery fits on the back which makes the unit a little bigger than you might imagine, but it's OK. The Savastores one also came with an extra battery box that takes 6 x AAs. I tried these with rechargeables, the only annoyance is the battery warning indicator shows on screen now and then even when there is loads of life left. This is probably because the warning trigger voltage is designed for alkalines not NiMh. But it still works with rechargeables, which is a handy backup. It has a car power cord as well. You can plug any charger cord directly into the LiIon battery to recharge it, so you could be charging the LiIon battery at home while watching the TV using the AA battery box, or in the car with the car power lead. It is quite versatile.

Some have complained about the screen, well it isn't as good as LCD monitor, it tends to be a bit directional, but again if it's for one person this is not really a problem.

If you want a cheap personal TV that gets lots of channels and you are in a strong signal area then I think you will be pleased with this.

Tip: Get a soft case for it, to protect the screen.
voted hot . But waiting for more reviews

I said I would let you know how I got on with it once I had received it....

It came today. It took a few attempts in my area (derbyshire) to do a automated scan because only a few channels were picked up to start with. But after tuning it I picked up over 80 channels.Yes some had no signal but majority of them did if I moved the ariel around,it was a case of be patient and if you dont succeed, try try again lol.Picture quality was superb and the sound I was dubious about until I heard it for myself.I was expecting it to be quite tinny but this isn't so.The sound is perfect too.

All in all, a great bargain for the price :-D
Just bought one from Savastore and came next day. Can't pick up any channels at all, but then I'm in a poor signal area anyway. I know exactly where our nearest transmitter is so I'll have a drive there over the next few days to give it a proper test.
As my signal isn't going to improve over night I've decided to 'mod' the tv. I opened the case up and found out it uses a standard F-Plug to connect the aerial. Therefore I'm going down to Maplins to find a female connector to attach an external aerial.
Will let you know how I get on...
