Purchased one of these today for £99.99 from Halfords in Hendon North London and they installed it for an extra £49.99.

Booked the installation a few days ago and the bloke that installed it was extremely helpful and took time to make sure the display and control were ideally positioned, all the wires are concealed and that everything was working fine.

Was looking for a blue tooth hands free system and had given up on cheaper ones that hang over the visor. A few friends swear by Parrot systems and was about to get one, when I saw this in store for almost £50 less than a parrot.

Have been using it for one day and so far very impressed. Super easy to use. Paired with my phone almost immediately (the box and instructions says it will pair with two devices at a time) great call quality, can easily stream music from my Android smartphone (I've tried Spotify and the radio and so far both work great) - in the instruction book it says it will work with Apple ipods and iphones too.

The volume seems excellent and I like the display and control system. All in all am really impressed with the quality for a £100 product.

One advantage of this system seems to be that none of the parts need replaceable batteries - whereas most of the others have remote controls that need battery replacing every so often.

Also the display is removable for when away from the car for long periods like holidays.

Had never heard of IO as a brand name - but took a chance and so far have been really pleased with the results.
I'm not an expert but it seems like a good value product and shopping around the price looks very keen as this looks £10 to £20 cheaper than anywhere else. Although I did spot a couple for sale on Ebay for £70 plus postage - but preferred to buy from a shop I could go back to if there are any issues.

Cheaper to install a Bluetooth Stereo

This kit is great but go for the play 2 as it comes with built in amp

the Play2 cost £20 more and my car is just too small to justify the larger wattage as it's a G-wiz tiny electric car - but if you've got a larger car then the Play2 looks like it may be a good choice as it's 180 watts instead of 80 watts.

Maybe, but the hands free function on every one I've seen/used is extremely poor ! I would never advise a stereo hands free over anything

I have a Play2 at it is very good. I believe it may have more features than the Talk2 besides just the amplifier.

Very easy to do yourself. Simply connectors and adapters.

It seemed a lot - but I'm not technically minded and not the brightest either - changing a 13amp plug is about my limit - and the bloke who installed it did take over an hour and did a good job. I was OK paying it for the peace of mind but for anyone who knows what they're doing that would of course save rather a lot.

This is a link to the comparison page - it has some extra EQ features too but for my purposes fine with the Talk2 and putting the extra £20 towards installation.

That's the point I was trying to make...

I bought this for Lexus RX - great item, got prof installed (not halfords) for £50. Wasn't that straight forward for my model. And check costs for additional cables and extensions. Mine came to about an extra £40 but I complained and I got for £8
