Take your files or applications anywhere with this compact and portable pocket sized hard drive. This hard drive is easy to use with a 2.0 USB interface and comes with a sturdy aluminium casing with Drop Shocktechnology

--------------

It's a small 2.5inch notebook drive inside an enclosure. It does NOT come with a power brick as USB power is sufficient to power this =)

--------------

Drive inside is a Seagate ST9320325AS 320Gb 5400rpm 8Mb cache, and yes it's 2.5inch SATA.

nice find, i was looking at the 250gb one in store tonight

Got one of these just after christmas from comet for just a little under £50. I mostly use it for transferring files from my desktop to my nc-10, usually dvd vob files etc. It's a lot faster than across my network. ( mines only 100Mb)

It really is very good, well made and when you consider what a 16 gig pen-drive costs, this is great value £ per gig.

Get one. Get one now ! :w00t:

Direct link edited, many thanks.
Added some Bosch bits, which I needed, to avail of the £5 off voucher + aunt in laws staff discount.

I wonder if Iomega approached Tesco or something... lol or... if Iomega are about to annouce mass losses if they haven't already, I have my shiny new Iomega 1tb on my desk right now

Currently, this 320Gb portable drive is cheaper than the 250Gb portable one. I've grabbed two and used the £8 off £80 spend. I will be using one (partitioned down) with the USB Loader on the Wii :whistling:

Many thanks for posting this and to Cuddy for mentioning the £8 voucher.

The 250gb one is now in my PS3 and working fine. Good price, and so far, great drive.

Anyone looked at which model drive comes inside this?
If one of could could check!
Thanks

i would also like to know, would like to pop out drive and put it into my laptop.
cheers

very tempted, are these reliable? heard quite a bad impression about the desktop version where there is an issue with firmware and lost of data.

good price, I paid £36 for the 250 gb a few months back also from Tesco, great hard drive

I know my 250gb drive is a seagate. Only down side of this drive is that it uses 2 usb ports on laptops to get enough power. Uses one on tower pcs.

Dont forget the Quidco as well.

Seriously?! Can anyone else confirm that this drive requires 2 USB ports to function?

only if your laptops a dinosaur.

ive tesred on acers, dell inspirons and dell xps machines and it only required the one usb plug ( the one that has 2 wires going it to it )

My very old ibm t23 thinkpad required both usb plugs ( lucky it has 2 as the t22 only had 1 usb port)

If it's this one...

trustedreviews.com/not…/p1

Then yes it will work via USB and also if you take the drive out and out it in your notebook. It will be a standard 2.5inch SATA drive

I got one of the desktop drives yesterday and my PC reports it as being an
Hitachi HDT721010SLA360
I think the ones giving problems were Seagate dives
Given the voucher reduction these are cheaper than buying the bare drive.

bought one of these the last time they were this price
excellent piece of kit for my aging 80gb harddrive laptop
put all pictures , movies and music on it

i can confirm that even on my old laptop it powers itself with one usb connection , apparently if it needs more juice you can hook up the additional usb that comes with it

Apparently, Tesco are selling at a loss... i don't beleive it though

dont forget the discount code 5 pounds off 50 pounds spend. you simply need to add anything over £5.50 to get your discount! i did add a hama tripod

Doesn't work on the 2 inspirons i've got. Though they are old. Need to use 2 usb slots on the aspire one.

The 250gb drive works fine on my Macbook connected to just one usb port.

Excellent deal.

I got a 250gb for the PS3 a couple months back, was really annoyed that is was a Hitachi drive and it was really loud (louder then the PS3 itself). And Kind of regret only getting a 250gb.

Great deal. Ordered and intend to put in my MacBook, as long as its not too noisy etc.

no noise at all

bargain, paid £55 for a 250gb mypassport.

I have the 250Gb version of this, great drive - but I found the usb connector to the drive kept falling out, I went on to Iomega online chat support and then sent me a new cable in a few days.. problem resolved...

The left handed gribbling pin on the diverticulated cifuncular interossiter often needs replacing on these.

Can someone confirm if this needs a power adaptor to run or is it just powered by USB?

As discussed already in this thread it runs off USB. No external PSU needed.

Ordered 2. This time, Tesco didn't screw up my vouchers so I got them for £52 plus quidco.

How long is the warranty on this drive, does anyone know?

Can i collect this instore and use £10 clubcard vouchers i still have? or do i have to pay before i collect it?

If you add one of these to your basket you can get it for 98p with the £5 off code!
