Thanks markewatson!

Picked up one of these a couple of weeks ago when last posted. The drive is fantastic, runs very quiet and quite cool. One thing to note is that it comes formatted as FAT32, not NTFS, so you must reformat it before starting to fill it up. Otherwise you will not be able to copy over files over 4gb in size.

Nice deal, Thanks markewatson!

anybody know of a good deal on an internal 500gb drive?

I'm not a fan of all these external ones

cheers

I have the 320gig version of this and am very pleased with it nice looks, quiet and good build quality, tempted to get a couple of these! Thanks markewatson.

While we are requesting ponies...How about a deal on NAS? I want a new external but with my home network consisting of laptops and an xbox I would rather have network storage so I don't have to have a laptop tied to a desk and powered up to use the storage via the xbox.

Resumes waiting patiently....

It's a pearoast, but it's a good one; I've yet to find a better price in terms of p/GB for an external drive.

For a less money, this 320GB is worth considering: scan.co.uk/Pro…634

If you get free delivery from Scan it's a good deal, they sometimes knock a couple of quid off on their daily deals, too. Dabs also do the same drive for about the same price. The Lacie has a Seagate Hard Drive, which is good.
