Why? Isnt it best to shop around? Scan can be cheaper sometimes, as can this with the Google discount and quidco - ebuyer gives little if all quidco.

A fiver is a fiver. Don't understand why saving a fiver get's a cold vote but there you go

Don't order this then... It'll cost you a fiver more:giggle:

I bought one of these around 6 months ago at £99.99. Over the past couple of days, it's started to develop some very worrying clicking and grinding noises, and eventually it disappears from Windows. I have to turn it off for a few hours to let it cool down (it runs quite hot after a while!), and then I can turn it back on again.

Obviously hard drives do develop faults, and I hope I've just been unlucky with this one. I'll be returning the drive to Iomega under the warranty, I just have to try and figure out where I can put 500gb of data in the meantime...

how do you get google checkout to track in quidco?

You can't. Either you go for 5pounds off or the cashback!

Now £69.99 unfortunately!

Mind you, the initial price which comes up on the Dabs site is £69.90 so there's not really a lot in it.

I suppose it's all down to Quidco, or whatever, then!

eBuyer are always cheaper for me

Voted cold, basically if you don't have a Visa card like myself your pretty much paying the full banana.

i used google checkout when ordering from Dabs because of the cashback offer. But total amount shown in dabs account is different compared to google checkout account (£5).
Is that normal?

Yes it happens a lot. If you want to settle your mind just check your Card statement which will show the price with discount

I have just ordered a different ext. disk from ebuyer and used Google checkout using Mastercard and no £5 discount?

That would be cos Ebuyer dont offer a discount for going through google checkout anymore, its www.dabs.com that offer the £5 discount.

SVP are also giving the £5 googlecheckout discount on orders over £50.
