have seen 1TB drives at 40-41 and 500gb portables at this price
this is cold

poor deal - not a compact drive and got to lug a psu as well, voted cold.

I am wondering why this product is so cold. when you consider that Iomega where one of the first companies to produce the external hard drives well over 10yrs ago, I bought a 40gb costing over £140 using firewire still going strong. . I just bought a usb3 500gb ( can be dropped from over 2 meters without damaged

Are you talking from experience?

As for heat on this one, I'm on the fence for this , I'd pay £8 more for another 500Gb, but I'm also strapped for cash (as always!), but I'm gonna give it some heat anyway.

No that's what iomega claim (ego) but on reflection when I received it, I should have dropped it a meter at a time till it failed ,and then sent it back as DOA and then I would have known what the limit was hahahaha
