I had to share this, for all of us with older cars that have cassette decks and you want to hear your music from your phones and other devices, hell of a lot cheaper than getting a whole new entertainment system for the car.

With Cassette Adapter Bluetooth from ION, your car’s cassette player instantly becomes a wireless Bluetooth receiver. Just like that, you can stream music from any Bluetooth music player or phone.

Ion Cassette Adapter Bluetooth Music Receiver For Cassette Decks

Turn your car's cassette deck into a wireless music player.

With Cassette Adapter Bluetooth from ION, your car’s cassette player instantly becomes a wireless Bluetooth receiver. Just like that, you can stream music from any Bluetooth music player or phone. No complicated installation. No cables. No tangled or snagged tape. Just pop it in and it automatically turns on. Cassette Adapter Bluetooth contains a long-lasting rechargeable battery for even the longest road trips. Plus, you now have a hands-free solution for phone calls, thanks to the built in microphone.

Now, you can use your car's speakers to hear phone calls and music without having to buy a new stereo head-unit. Both of your hands stay safe on the wheel while your audio source stays in your pocket. Cassette Adapter Bluetooth is the last cassette you’ll ever need and the first —and only—step to bring your favorite music, podcasts, and audiobooks into your car.

I can't keep up with all this hi-tec stuff. Comb and tissue paper for me.
Never knew such a thing existed , my car has a cassette player as well as a CD player and an iPod connection in the glove box. I had been using an iPod in glove box to play music but this will be a better option.
I bought one of these sorts of things except it had a cable years back in a pound shop to play my mp3 player in the car i had that had a tape player i think £13 for this is somewhat steep considering you can't playback from older devices that don't have bluetooth

This aint meant for older devices, wired ones are there for that @ 1/10 of this price.
As with anything wireless it will be dearer,
I'm waiting for the 8 track version to come out.

Finally a solution to put an end to our huge stack of FM transmitters that never really delivered quality audio (we can't change our car head unit cos the speedo stops working).

Thanks OP. Will update once received.
people voting cold because you can get a tape with wired aux connector??? because the saving is worth it to also have that cable running about the car.
duh!!
its Bluetooth . never knew these existed. nice post op.
£20.... is it gold plated???

Yep, tried the wired cassette onces... sounded awful.

I've never seen Bluetooth tapes before so well worth the gamble especially as these have a built in mic for hands free calling.
Or for £40 someone's posted a bluetooth stereo at aldi if you have a standard size head unit it may be worth upgrading?

try the rii geartist... I had a tried so many until.....
great reviews...
This is an interesting Idea. It's not cheap enough to persuade me into giving it a go, but for those people with music on their smartphones and are limited to a cassette player in their car, this could be useful. I have a CD changer in the boot, but only a cassette player / radio head unit in the car itself. I can't upgrade the head unit as nobody makes a single or double DIN surround to fit in my dash, so this would be a basic answer to my problem.....although the quality will always be limited by the analogue cassette player technology, and less so by the Bluetooth.
I'd vote warmish for this if there was a warmish button on here, if only for the possibilities it would open for some people.
This is a BRILLIANT idea for those with classic cars with take decks who wish to keep the standard look but with modern connectivity standards
bought one from tesco 2-3 years ago for £1.99 (tescos own teknica brand)
Was full price as well, don't buy this crap at this price.

So you don't actually have this particular product then?
How do you know it's crap mate?
Damn Dyas is taking its sweets time processing this order.

Each to their own. With this you don't have to rip apart a dash. I drive an E46, to put an aftermarket stereo in that, you have to buy some incredibly ugly fascia or put in some serious work. For the meantime, I don't really want to do either.
Still waiting for click 'n collect notice from Dyas.... How long does it take to send an item to it's own store????
Apparently it was lost on its way to the store (_;)
Now we'll have to wait another week.

Just got an "out of stock" email and refund from Robert Dire.

First and last time I waste my time with these jokers.
Took the gamble and bought from Amazon for £30 and it's awesome.
Sounds as good in the car as any Bluetooth head unit.
Well worth it. Thank you OP
