According to the article, they service is going and the games are all suddenly free. So before they return to their publishers (Playond grabbed them all under its umbrella it seems), grab them and see what happens!!!

The recommended games from article are:

Morphite
Max: The Curse of Brotherhood
Jydge
Crashlands
and Daggerhood

edit: A freebie posted earlier for Linn: Path of Orchards falls under this publisher too.

I can see two. There's 'Crashlands' which is £6.99, and 'Crashlands - Playond' which is free. I don't know if there's any difference between the versions.
Thanks for posting, downloaded a few. So are these usually paid apps and are currently coming up as free or do you normally need a subscription to play them and currently you don’t?

My understanding Playond "absorbed" the games and then made people pay for it again under its Playond Service. However, due to the company going bust, the original game is now back on the store at its intended price.

Same with my reply above, these were paid games until a company called Playond swallowed them up and then made people pay for it again. But, due to the company shutting down, the Playond versions of the games will be removed and the originals would be returned back to the original developer or publisher.

The article I linked said this in its update:

Update

We've now received confirmation that Playond is indeed closing its doors. Its games will soon be returned to their original developer/publisher's account.

I'm unsure what will happen later on, but the idea is to grab these games while they are free and hope they stick in your library.

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully if they go back to being full price, we can still keep them for free. So Crashlands is now back at £6.99 and Crashlands Playond is the one where you have to pay for the subscription, but there isn’t a subscription to pay anymore?

Ah right. Playond has gone bust, and as a result all of its games under it became free. We don't know if it'll stay, or get removed, or can we keep them after we buy, but now the point is to grab all of them anyway.

The subscription service, while I'm unsure how it worked previously, but if it was still around, I'd imagine that there would've been a Playond app. I did a quick research and found these 2 screenshots from 148games.com:

So it looks like an Apple Arcade or Netflix like service where you pay for something within the app before it lets you play the game. Now, with it gone, all of its apps were either let go/released onto the store (if they were there in the first place) or are now suddenly accessible without the Playond app. But this is just guess work/speculation.

Because just lying there to burn is pretty boring.

Seriously, why the judgement on how someone chooses to spend their own time, on their holiday, which you are not apart of?

It is boring I totally agree that's why I would never go on holiday and lay on a lounger for hours.

Your skills of deduction failed miserably there, don't quit your day job & become a detective anyone soon!

‘Anyone’.....I’ll keep mine if you keep yours, Captain Banter.
Because I want to. I work hard for my holidays, and if i want to lay on a beach, playing games, then i will, didn't realise I had to explain myself, sheesh.
