Thats all good until the ir comes on at night and all you get is a reflection of your own camera

Well that didn't last long.

Shame. But the 1080p version seems to be live still, with only 20% claimed and 55 minutes left.

Do you have to pay a subscription for using these?

I bought this just to spy on out pet dog when we are out.... 2 way voice thing means we can also annoy her

Looks like it's ONVIF compatible so no need to involve any foreign powers

So is there instructions that come with it to show you how to use it without a subscription?
People seem to mention subscriptions whenever these cams are around.

Surely an anti glare film on the window would sort this out?

Yes it comes with full instructions. There is no subscription cost, you just plug in the camera then download the app, follow the instructions on the app and its set up in minutes.

Has a nice picture quality and to be able to control the camera remotely is an excellent feature, just scroll around on your phone screen and the camera pans and zooms. the 2 way voice thing is also really good (drives my dog crazy, you can see the confusion on her face).
I haven't used an sd card in it yet as i'm not really interested in recording etc as I'm not using it as a security camera.

Overall a great little camera and a steal at the lightening deal price!!!!!

Wish I'd bought one now.
Ordered a Yi cam earlier instead...same price.
But can't swivel the camera remotely, it has panaramic view on so hopefully that'll be ok

If the panoramic view covers the area you need then the remote panning of the camera won't really be needed. I think most of these cheap Chinese cameras are of similar quality so hopefully you'll be as happy with your one as I am with this.
I don't really get why some have subscriptions on them?...is it for cloud recording or something?

Just for keeping an eye on our dogs when we are out anywhere.
My wife worries if we're away 5 minutes.
It'll calm her down a bit, if they're any good I might buy another for the living room.

Have a very similar SRICAM from Gearbest, picture quality is fine but clearly you need to consider where you'll be using it i.e. inside against a window that's in full daylight isn't going to give you great results. I have mine pointing out of a window that isn't in direct sunlight and the image quality is absolutely fine considering how much these costs. If I didn't have one already I'd be getting this, although mine was a bit cheaper (£15) I'm restricted to using it with an App on the iPhone/iPad as there isn't a PC application available unlike this one.

Or anyone who manages to hack it using known hardcoded credentials or trivial exploits.
Some of these cameras getting a root (Superuser) shell is simple as telneting to them on a certian port and various ones will also often try and contact some "Cloud" Server.

I find with these cheap cameras the best thing you can do with them is keep them away from the internet (I.e put them on a seperate network or firewall them so they can't access the internet if you're able to do that then they're fine otherwise naa thanks)

Is everyone quite impressed with this cam?
