The celebrated Kung Fu master of Bruce Lee. Multi award winning, semi-biographical account of IP Man, the first martial arts master to teach the Chinese martial art of Wing Chun IP Man garnered 12 nominations for the 2009 HK Film Awards in both the acting/directing and technical categories - though it really stands out as a killer Kung-Fu Film, and consequently won for Best Action Director and Best Film. IP Man (1893-1972) is the expert in the fighting style of Wing Chun, and is the mentor of the Legendary International Kung Fu legend Bruce Lee. As there has never been any previous film record of IP Man, this film produced by Raymond Wong and directed by Wilson Yip will be the very first. This is the first in the Trilogy with filming commencing on IP Man 2 in 2009. Starring Donnie Yen as IP Man (Dragon Tiger Gate/Empress & Warriors). Action Direction from Sammo Hung, long time Jackie Chan collaborator. IP Chun - IP Man's son, was a consultant to the movie

A must watch for martial arts fans.
Watched this on the plane a couple of weeks ago. :-)

Best film ever.

WARNING,

Although the film is awesome the BLU RAY is BAD BAD BAD quality.

It is one of the worst quality blu rays i have seen and i have seen LOADS...

Read the reviews they all say the same

Ordered - even if its not a good Bluray copy it not much more than the DVD Fantastic film!

HOT! Great movie!

I like the movie. But I don't understand why it is necessary to punch each enemy 1000 times.

Does he solve network conflicts?

i disagree... i thought the quality was quite good actually (I have a 40" series 8 lcd samsung). it was crisp and clear. it's what you expect from bluray (at least it's not bluray gladiator). Plus being a great film at a great price... you can't really go wrong.

Yeah I agree...I thought the quality was pretty good and crisp on blu ray

great movie,
no complaints about the quality from me

Question - is it in Englsh or subbed/dubbed?

Its subtitled in english, I thought quality on blu ray was fine used on my 50inch plasma:thumbsup:

Loved this film - watched it numerous times and that's rare for me.

It's to build the power guage so he can release his ultimate attack

is he IPv4 or IPv6 ?

These Internet Protocol jokes were funny the first 20 times - yawn.

just found out they will be filming IP MAN 2. looks good and will definitely see it. but I couldn't help but laugh when he was chopping people with knifes... it reminds me of a typical Hong Kong triad movie lol
