Thanks. Didn't realise it had automatically picked up the title from the eBay listing. Have updated now.
How does that impact your ability to get Apple service warranty here in UK?
Warranty is world wide. I bought mine in the states and got it repaired here
That's what I thought, think im going to take a gamble and wait.
Same here
If you can live with the size then the 5 is a much better device, miles better specs screen etc. But it's too small for me.
This is my plan also. This eBay code lasts a few days so I think it's sensible to wait even though there is the possibility of these selling out.
As I understand from reading other comments on here, the device is exactly the same as the UK versions, it's just the UK adapter you get which is different (not official).
OK thanks. Just looked again at this and it seems a little too cheap. I purchased an iPad recently on eBay for £199, and the advert had reviews and everything that made it look a genuine seller, however turns out it was a fraudulent seller and I didn't receive the iPad. Luckily I've just received my money back so now on the lookout for another deal. But it's made me lose my trust a bit on eBay.
I haven't bought from this seller yet but they seem pretty reputable and legit. There's over 300 comments on this exact deal from 3 weeks ago if you want to read through other people's experience hotukdeals.com/dea…069 Hope it helps you make your mind up!
Great thank you. I will be having a good read through these tonight.
Agree the code isn’t working for me either
It’s working again
FYI:
1. If the code doesn't work, try ordering as as a guest user or create a new eBay account.
2. My Paypal and credit card payment rejected. But Papal worked on a third try.
I just sent my 128gb one back. Wasn’t a fan of all the extras included. The adaptor they include is a cheaply made uk plug. Couldn’t see any regulation markings on it and the plastic was sharp on the edge. Wouldn’t ever risk using it.
you sent it back because of an adapter...you could have sourced a good one on amazon or even a real one for cheap. Sounds like buyers remorse.
What does that even mean.
Not remorse. Just couldn’t be bothered trying to find a proper one. I’ve had so many fakes off amazon and eBay that I just won’t bother. Buying them from main retailers erodes a big part of the saving so not a great deal for me personally in that respect.
Note that when I originally bought it, it wasn’t stated that it was an import so didn’t know I’d be getting the non uk plug.
But you can buy the official adapters for around £15 online, making the price still only £226 for the 32GB version and 15 extra for whatever other model... I fail to see how this isn't a good deal? The iPad itself is exactly the same as any other UK model.
Where can you buy them for £15 from a proper shop (not third party sellers)?
You are right, it is a great deal still if you don’t care about the cheap (and possibly dangerous) adaptor. I’m annoyed that they didn’t state it was an import in the listing I purchased.
If you’ve already got a 12w charger then there is no reason to avoid this as you could use that.
I brought this model fromm them before when ebay had the 20% off - iPad arrived in 2 days, all fine, brand new unopened box - comes with a UK adapter, stylus, screen wipe and headphones. You'll unlikely get a better price than this.
Fonehaus doing genuine apple adaptors for £11 discount for multi buy
Fonehaus
amazon.co.uk/App…8-6 Sold by Apple
And yeah, they should make it more clear for sure
First review on the screen said it died quickly. The second two say question if it’s genuine. It’s why I don’t buy chargers off amazon or eBay. Had so many fakes which are downright dangerous. One didn’t even have a fuse!!!
Couldn’t find it on the site. You got a link?
Bear in mind this product can be sold from different sellers other than Apple so I assume a lot of people who bought it got it when it was cheaper from another seller on the product page. Just a guess mind, but that's probably what it is. Then again it's only £20 on the Apple site I think so probably better to be safe and buy from there for the extra £5.
