First of all. Please no posting of whether Android is better or not, etc. This is for those people who genuinely want to buy this product and are looking for the cheapest possible deal.

Dixons Travel who have multiple stores located in several UK airports are selling the iPad at discounted prices. They aren't much of a discount compared to the ebuyer express deal but if you're travelling anyway and were in the market for an iPad then why not save some cash and buy at the airport.

I have only checked the prices for the base 16GB models. You will have to call up and find the prices of the others.

iPad 4th Gen 16GB - £378 (5.26% discount)
iPad mini 16GB - £259 (3.72% discount)

Stock on the iPad mini is limited so best to phone and reserve if possible. Stock on the regular 4th gen iPad seems plentiful.

and they call it duty free, if it really is duty free than the price should be minus the full vat rather than the small %. if you're not in a hurry to get 1 you should be able to get them cheaper without having to spend 100s on a plane ticket(or if you were lucky enough to find stock a your local comet as they are/were meant to be 10% off).
iPad 4t generation hasn't actually been announced or released yet? It's iPad 3 and iPad mini? :s
That's rip off Britain at work for you.
There is no iPad 4th gen??!?!??!?!

I don't think it's been called 'duty free' for something like 10 years. They keep the prices lower there even though they have no obligation to and they still charge the 20% VAT on whatever price you buy it at.
The link is for iPad2 and 3rd Gen iPad. No 4th gen unless I'm missing something.

There is a 4th gen iPad. Not that you'd know there's any difference because, in classic Apple style, there isn't.

Tell that to Apple.
Bear in mind John Lewis have 4th gen iPad, admittedly at full price (£399) but at least you get a 2 year warranty.

really after a mini, but not going anywhere soon, anyone fancy picking me up one?
Looks like I can get a further 7% as my workplace does currys vouchers at 7% discount. Combining that and the airport price brings it down to £351.

Why? VAT and import duties are not the same thing at all.
