iPad Air and Air 2 have had their prices reduced at John Lewis, following the release of the latest model.

Looks like reductions of £70 on the Air and £50 on the Air 2

This is the normal price for them, after the introduction of the iPad Pro 9.7. Cold from me
Have to agree with Nathan, Op. This is their new RRP and is available now at most retailers including Currys and Apple themselves.

It's a worthwhile heads up, in the misc section perhaps, but it's not really a deal I can vote hot on.
cold
John Lewis selling at RRP. Great find OP!
Better warranty at John Lewis?

Better warranty at John Lewis?

I'd rather get Fuel Save or buy it cheaper elsewhere.

I often wonder what's the use of using "heads up"? It is an alert post on hotukdeals so it is a de facto "heads up" as a notifcation. All posts on hotukdeals are "de facto" heads up the moment it is on this forum.

In proportionality of need to invoke warranty between year 1 and 2 for a solid state device with no moving parts, extremely unlikely. Say you forsake Year 1 to 2 warranty and save 5% of £5,000 total worth of kit of kit buying cheaper elseweher = £250 set aside to warrant yourself. So for a couple in a family, spending say, £15,000 on kit a year... shop around means you save enough ££ to warranty yourself for Year 1 to Year 2, don't even need to pay more insurance on kit.

I have re-read a few times, you have totally lost me with whatever this "heads up", either you post or not to tell people of a deal, freebie, voucher...? There is no need to do a post of a "heads up" and then say "heads up" in the post again.

Ok to be more clear, my point is that this price reduction is not a deal as its a new RRP so I suggested it be better off in the misc section so it doesn't clog up the deals forum and is therefore not applicable for voting - it then serves as a heads up.

At no point did I suggest the Op has to add the words "heads up" in his title and it then become a deal.

It was a minor observation is all
So John Lewis have reduced their price to match the Apple Store, woopy doo!

very much not so when it comes to the Amazon Kindle.... when my unit died between year 1 and 2, turning to the internet forums revealed that it was a common problem, statistically likely to happen, and Amazon didn't want to help out.... the John Lewis 2-year warranty on my new Kindle will save me the money I would've spent in the 2nd year, had I bought my replacement Kindle from Amazon/Tesco/Argos.
I'm looking for a deal on an iPad and noticed JL had dropped the iPad Air. Must admit I'm leaning towards JL as the free 2 year warranty for free and not sure if the Air 2 is really worth the extra cash
Ordered, thanks op for the heads up, I hadn't even realised the prices had gone down yet!

Air 2 is worth it for Touch ID never mind the massive performance boost.

And theres nothing special about a 2 yr warranty from JL, that's standard EU consumer law for mobile devices. You'll get the same thing from Apple or any shop.
