Thanks. Didn't realise I pads were in the boost. Ordered a mini 2 but sadly not 40 quid off

can you change the title to say it's an ipad air? some may gloss over it thinking the deal's for the original ipads

I didn't.

Don't know about clubcard boost but way cheaper on amazon.

You can tell the new iPad Air 3 is coming out with a few quid knocked off the older models.

I'd rather pay the extra and get the 6 year warranty that you'll get if you you buy direct from Apple. That and if you do have a fault they'll fix or replace it on the spot is worth the extra £40.

Not exactly sure what you're LOL'ing about. I've had a few iPhones and iPads fixed or swapped out at the Apple Store. The last being an iPhone 5 that was over three years old. Screen was swopped out without charge. Try getting that done in Tescos.

The fact is that Apples service is second to none and that's easily worth £40 to me.

You get that level of service regardless of where you bought it from. I used to work for Apple and it wouldn't matter if you bought from Tesco, the Genius Bar would assist with Repair/Replace

Can we make something clear...

It does NOT matter were you buy any Apple device from, you can take it to ANY Apple store at any time for repair/replacement..

I was told that they will do this for the first year, but beyond that Apple will expect you to take it back to where you originally purchased it from.

I really like Apple products, well manufactured, good quality, good spec, a tad expensive but that's OK. Then they say things like 'genius bar' or 'say hello to the watch' and that makes me cringe and hate Apple.

Totally agree. Their culture is sickening. Used to have to high 5 customers who had just bought the new iPad etc

I am after the iPad Air 2 128GB ... does anyone know if Apple will be doing the 0% finance offer that they usually do this time each year anytime soon??

2 questions:

1) iPad Mini 2/3 or iPad Air 1/2?
2) iPad Air 1 or 2?

1. Depends what you want it for. More convenient to carry a mini around with you, but I prefer the air for screen size

2. I'd suggest air 2. I have the air 1 and a lot of the new iOS9 features won't be coming to the 1. Also the extra ram will help with overall running

Are you? Perhaps you can enlighten us?

All I know is that from recent experience I've had the screen on my iPhone 5 replaced which was over 3 years old. Apple themselves explained they would replace it free of charge citing UK consumer law.

That's weird. I went in with a two-year-old iPhone 4S with a fried camera and Wi-Fi antennae and had to pay the £160 for replacement.
"Customers are entitled to have faulty goods replaced or repaired for up to six years, at no charge, which the retailer should carry out "within a reasonable time but without causing significant inconvenience." If the seller doesn't repair or replace an item, customers can claim some money back on the original purchase price, minus an amount for the usage they have had of the goods. The rule covers a fault that was present when you bought the item, or a defect that occurs from a manufacturing problem rather than as the result of usual wear and tear."

Did you buy it direct from the UK Apple website or a UK Apple store though?

I know that, but Apple seem to be a bit more co-operative and easy to deal with than most retailers when it comes to warranty issues.

these reduced tesco prices are the same as John Lewis normal prices. plus you get 2 years warranty as standard from John Lewis.
