I have an iPad 2 32gb and even that got full quite quick

Incorrect, they come with 12 months Hardware support and 90 days technical support (one free phone call to AppleCare).
I have decided I'm going to sell the mini retina and just keep the air I purchased both as I couldn't honestly decide between the two
Nope. Any Apple product bought from anywhere, any shop, any country, will be serviced by Apple directly.

Standard UK warranty is 2 years. It even says on apple website:
apple.com/uk/…ty/
This is not the case -Apple stores will provide support for any Apple product regardless of where bought.
Just placed order with Asda so fingers crossed they'll price match. They price-matched for me with Tesco last week so I don't see why not.
Classic!
Housemate ordered one, expected tomorrow. I'm going to laugh so hard when it's a Chinese fake.
That's rubbish.
The UK hasn't even adopted that directive in any way shape or form.
Haven't read something so wrong in a long time.
Not at all.
Are you telling me that all UK electronics now come with a 2 years warranty as standard like in most other european countries? That's simply not the case.
Feel like slitting my throat and being done with it after reading the first paragraph of that anti consumer rights pile of mumbo jumbo
(no offense to yourself, thanks for the link, but we have not adopted the 2 year european warranty directive).
We are left with our "6 years to prove that a product was faulty when purchased".
The part that we have adopted is only the bit that overlaps the 6 year thing....so, we have adopted absolutely nothing of it.

Sorry I was editing my previous post to make it more readable. So your reply got posted before my post now lol.
I'm just trying to learn and find the truth. Nothing personal. Thanks for the information.
money bags lol
Mine arrived yesterday, posting on it now. Deal of the month in my books but HUKD wouldn't allow the deal posted
it will be with 3 yr warrenty
thats true mate i had them call today after filing a claim , they wont match a code
where do you see that ? as far as i am aware its a 1 year warranty as standard but JL are offering 3 years right now
I can only see that they won't match online-only or mail order businesses such as Dixons, Amazon or Play.com

#firstworldproblems.
if you buy it in Apple Store - in about 5-15 minutes you have new or fixed!!!!
In Asda - days-weeks to fix it (and who knows how)
Small difference but worth to know
