Just popped into HMV at metro centre and they are selling ex display ipad mini 16gb in black for 172.99. They had a few left aswell. They were removed from display after just one month. The one I got is in great condition and still comes with 1 year apple warranty.

Store specific probably, but very hot deal for you! Buy another and send me it? Thanks:)

Yeah hot but I doubt if other shops have stock probably just store posted by op.

Anywhere I can find out which HMV stores are closing and I might pop in for a look as I was after a Mini.

Worn out but under warranty

Take it to apple n just swop for a spanka

How is worn out?

I'd prefer to get a new one, customers of hmv kids on a weekend, does the touchscreen still work

selling cheap because the new model with a high def screen is due out soon.

You'll have more luck on Autotrader.

sure the screen still works, this is an Apple product after all. Not heard of touch screens wearing out on these

They had a few in the Wellingborough HMV if anyone lives near there

None left in Blackburn or Rochdale HMVs.

They'll only be in the ones that aren't closing, the closing stores have had all Apple products removed from their stores.

The only issue is a small piece of dirt under the screen, booked in with genius, so new ipad on way

Not a full list, the Eastgate Basildon store in Essex is closing too. Went there for a WD LiveTV but they had sold out

Nicely done, my fellow geordie
Notice that neither the MetroCentre or Newcastle Northumberland St are down for closure. Both busy

I have just rang Wellingborough and none in stock. I dont think any HMV stores have these in stock and if any stores do then where are they? Anyone know any in the midlands?

just buy an apple care for ipad and get another year of it supported, would make it a very cheap deal..

When you have them exchanged by Apple you don’t get a brand new model, its old guts in a new case.

Wellingborough is a small store and dont do many electrical items. I'd have tried Northampton as its a bigger store.

The list on C&VG is from the initial announcement. These ones are also closing

Ashford, Basildon, Bolton, Cheltenham, East Kilbride, Enfield, Folkestone, Glasgow Argyle, Gloucester, Grimsby, Hatfield Galleria, Heathrow T5 Departure Level, Heathrow Terminal 1, Heathrow Terminal 3, Heathrow Terminal 4, Hemel Hempstead, High Wycombe, Isle of Wight, Lancaster, Leadenhall, Mansfield, Middlesbrough, Newbury, Newcastle Silverlink, Newport, Nuneaton, Redditch, Salisbury, Scarborough, Southport, Stafford, Staines, Stockport, Swindon, Taunton, Torquay, Woking.

Nothing in cardiff

Great tablet, VERY hot deal if you can get this...it does seem a bit random these HMV offers...

Got the adaptor for micro USB in HMV last week...
hotukdeals.com/dea…536

And a good protective cheap case, which allows me to carry it in my jacket pocket (very surprised I could fit it in there)...
hotukdeals.com/dea…542

The Ipad mini is so good, it's light, (can just fit it in my regular jacket pocket, in a case), but the real stand out is the incredible battery life, I now get over sixteen / seventeen hours constant heavy use (wifi on, brightness minimum (fine for me most of the time)), they only advertise it being 10 hours, far exceeds this. If a retina version does appear soon it may well affect these figures for the worst,so I am very happy with this version.

If it helps I got a 3g ipad mini in Oxford St John Lewis for £315, (normally £370), they had a cabinet full of various iPads, tablets, etc, marked as "refurbs", but mine is as new, and they are almost certainly just "returned" stock, unwanted Xmas presents. You get a 2 year guarantee with JL too, may well be worth checking what they have,

just been to my local, workington, absolutely awful. UP TO 50% OFF!!! in the window. everything inside was more like 10-30% off. all their overpriced games had around 20% off, for example, fifa football for PS Vita was 18.09, usually sells for 15 anyway. All tablets gone, completely, the shelf had been filled with some tatty rubbish bob marley headphones for £55, they go for this anyway.
The only thing of note was some fancy ipod/iphone (pre 5 model) speaker dock reduced from 350 to 180, still looked a rip off. Oh, and a wii u with zombie u for 225 reduced from 319.

Very disappointed and when I asked about tablets, response was, what do you think mate, everyones cleared em. they weren't awesome deals anyway, had about 20% off.
No wonder HMV are going under, overpriced tat with a discounted sticker on, think theyll shift.

My iPad screen is wearing out and I have only had it for 2 years! Keys have mind of its own and parts of the screen does not work properly! Told by apple store need to buy a new one!! Nice! Not! very frustrating and it's not one that is used constantly.

Same as above really ^^

Although they did have a few tablets in my local. £35 for an archos seemed the best deal, but I didn't need it.

don't suppose you noticed if they had any 32gb models for sale, and if so, how much?

I don't think I'd be too hot on customer service in the throws of being sacked either!!

Noticed that the ipad 2's in coventry had a sign saying on sale, but then to the side was a less visible sign, sold out.

Same at my local one, even though they are in the 1st round of closures. They had 2 Acer tablets in stock but with only 10%, I even got them to scan them just to make sure. When I asked about price matching other HMV stores, I was told it was upto each individual store to set their discount levels. I guess the manager is waiting until the last day, then he can justify discounting them by 75% and selling to staff

Bought one in Cwmbran for £172.79. Very happy with the condition. As commented in other post, there were iPad 2 (around £210), iPad 3 (£230+) and a load of archos tablets ranging from £40 up.

I purchased a 16GB iPad 2 in HMV yesterday. They had reduced by 20% as ex display stock and then knocked off a further 20% in the Blue X sale. Total reduction off original price was 40%. Very random how these seem to appear as had nothing on Saturday when I looked but did on Sunday.

Giving up on all of these random HMV deals now. I'm just gonna pop in on the last day and hope for a few blu ray bargains.

I have rang all the HMV stores in the West Midlands and all of them say they do not have any iPad Minis in stock?

No mini's left in the metro centre

not till the end of the year.

Nothing in Ashton or Stockport

Does anyone know if there are any in kingston left

This will be in ALL stores because HMV will no longer stocking Apple products as they weren't selling as well as expected.

16GB is not sufficient for most users who wish to store movies, music and any docs / games.
