It's a great deal if you
A. Want an iPad mini + B. Want a times subscription
Otherwise it's not a deal for you

But at £1 a week more than the regular times sub, it's great value for those that do

I don't see why this is going cold. The Times isn't really my paper but if it was this would be an amazing deal, free I pad mini for buying something i would have bought anyway

The iPad is given to you as part of the subscription. 78 weeks at £7 a week is £546 which is the total cost of the 18 month minimum term.

Usually the sub fir the digital paper is £6 a week so going for this sub you get the iPad for £1 a week costing you £78 over the minimum period over the cost of a plain sub for the digital paper

Apple haters, Murdoch haters and those that vote cold just because a deal isn't for them mate. Often happens. We post deals for those that actually want them and ignore the cold. I will post deals for the community irrespective of the haters as it's for the rest that we bother to post deals on the first place. As this deal has both apple and the times in it I expected it to go sub Arctic anyway

Except this deal is for a package. The whole point is that you get the ipad for £1 a week extra if you want the Times on ipad/iphone/online. That is what makes this deal. For those that don't want the Times subscription it is fairly obvious that this deal would not be for them
