Selected iPads.

eCoupon code TD-HMWP entitles you to save £20 when buy selected iPad at Tesco direct. Only one eCoupon per customer

I'd say your much better spending an extra £20 on a mini 2 refurb from apple or £40 to get it from tesco (with code if it works)as the mini is basically an iPad 2 and the mini 2 is like an iPad air for performace much better screen as well

I agree...the original iPad Mini isn't worth your while now. :-)

I would stay clear of anything less than 32GB . What with all the updates there won't be much memory left .

hopefully they will boost all ipads with vouchers exchange like last year in a summer

they didn't boost iPads last time though, did they? Just the Hudl

Not getting an update to IOS 9 and uses same SOC (System on Chip) as iPad 2, laggy and slow. Definitely reasons to stay clear, if you still fancy one, then it needs to be cheaper than this to be worthwhile.

I agree, under £150 for the original mini would be reasonable

All those who comment it is not worth it don't realise many are buying a cheaper old model because it works and it is their household's second, third..twentieth tablet. May be not many will needed all iPads around the house to be all iPad mini 2,3,Airs.

IPad Mini was £150 during black Friday last year.
£179 is still a high price for it

Far too expensive for a low res screen and poor performance under iOS8.

Where on earth does it suggest that many people are buying this as a second tablet because they already have a better version? Perhaps many people are looking to buy their first tablet and are being steered away from a product that is inferior to the iPad mini 2 which does not cost a lot more yet is twice as good.

This ok for a toddler using learning apps and youtube.

For the sake of £20 you can get one that will work for years (although theres no refurbs in stock just now). When ios9 hits I guess it won't be long before apps require this to work then this and the iPad 2's & mini1s out there will need replacing, so £20 now would save you in the long run, The mini1 & mini2 are basically 4 generations apart in everything but name and the mini1 could be more or less useless (at least for apps) in a year.

I've still got my one of my iPad 2's on 6 but loads of apps don't work, the one on 7 is slow as and some apps are saying i need 8 ... can't imagine what 8 would do to it so Im leaving as is

obviously it up to the individual to decide but worth pointing this out Id say

Sounds like you need Windows as well as a platform to overcome your woes with your self confessed limitations. I have DOS 7, Windows XP-Windows 8.1, iOS 4-7, OS X Snow Leopard to Yosemite, Android 2.3 to 4.3, Linux, VMware as a portfolio of tools. No single tool is the best and only tool.
Regarding your woes of latest and keeping your investment, with Windows tablet: a typical remark: Oh wow, my DOS game from 1970 still works as indeed my Microsoft Office 2003, OMG, my HP 4 printer from ancient time still has drivers for Windows 8.1, with Apple tablet, a typical remark, Oooooh ......., my 2011 app would not work, I need to buy a new printer that does airprint.

You must be new here, just because people give heat doesn't mean they buy it. £80k cars gets over 1000 heat as do 20p savings on a pack of kit kats, it doesn't mean anything

expired

expired!!

How ironic? .. when the original iPad came out it was ALMOST like a sodding GRAND?!, & NOW its not even 1/5 of that!, but yet ..... hahahahahaha.

I have an ipad mini unopened for sale if anyone is still after one http://www.hotukdeals.com/for-sale-trade/ipad-mini-16gb-silver-unopened-for-sale-2159726
