Why cold, this us great deal.

Had it via HD UK a few months ago on click and collect.

Great service.

Double the price of a normal 7" tablet because it says apple on it.. Uhm

I agree its great quality, but no SD support, no 3G, no Full HD screen and only 16gb.

Let the fanboy arguments begin.. Ha Ha

I'm no apple fan, but anyone got a cheaper ipad mini deal? My folks want one.

I've been watching prices for a few weeks and I would say this about the best price you will get for a brand new one from a major uk retailer. I've got a little more saving to do otherwise I would be snapping it up.

Unless the air has a good offer soon

Why does it bother you that others like different things - such a closed mind.

It doesn't matter if you are an Apple hater - this is a good deal and that's what you are rating!

Hot from me.

Hot from me, thanks

No Retina display

its a good deal

I nearly bought one of these a few weeks ago purely to play FTL, but watched a comparison video with the Retina version and went for that instead. A ridiculous price, but I love it, I just try not to think of how much I payed.

I'm now an apple fanboy. Screw you h8ters!

Is the 3 year guarantee thing still running?

It may be double the price of a 7in tab but will last more then twice as long better quality I had a samsung tab and a hudl got rid of them

Hot from me. Had both a Nexus 7 and an iPad mini. iPad wins apart from price, but that's my personal opinion. This is a great price though!

Ordered. Thanks OP.

It's not just about price it's also about quality of product & apps that are available to you. Nobody matches Apple on either of these. This is a bargain.

Banned

Apple usually releases new version of their products yearly in September, so hoping prices of older models will start coming down....

Cold...u guys saw the resolution on this ? :

1024-by-768 resolution at 163 pixels per inch (ppi)

I love it how people compare apple products by the specs only... How about commenting on build quality, second hand sell on value and the incredible amount of quality apps once in a while also?

Spend the extra and get the Retina version. This is weak ass in comparison.

Got a 32gb one from tesco a while back with a couple of codes + some vouchers brought it down to £180,so it's not retina, big deal,I love it,voted hoy

remember when Blackberry was once a business/ luxury brand? then came the cheap variants which even benefit claimers were seen with... riots instigated using BBM.

Apples gross margin slump and recovery says it all really.

Totally agree - each to their own. I bet some of these Apple haters would buy an Ipad if the price was reduced.
I can't justify spending this much on a tablet right now but it a good deal if this is the product you are after.
Voted hot on that basis.

Just like the Kia you drive the android tablet you own will in 2 years be worthless, as for the iPad, it will still retain 60% of its value.

3 year guarantee until 15th June as well so a good price with that included. tesco.com/dir…ot2

I agree with both these comments, the app selection on iOS is so much better than Android. There's tons of games than come to iOS that never get released on Android.

To name a few:

Infinity Blade 1-3
Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Ace Attorney: Phoenix Wright Trilogy HD
The World Ends With You: Solo Remix
Final Fantasy Tactics: War Of The Lions
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy
Marvel vs. Capcom 2
Street Fighter X Tekken
Lili
Crow
Bastion
Liberation Maiden
République

iOS kills Android when it comes to app quality, and I've owned both iOS and Android devices in the past.

Voted hot. Sister's looking to buy a tab.. I told her to go for iPad mini. Hopefully when the new versions come out, this'll get a bit cheaper. OS-wise I prefer android, most major apps are cross platform which is great. So I don't really care for the apps. Mainly use to stream and download stuff which I then transfer to other devices.

So, it comes down to how you'll use the device and quality of it should determine which to buy. Obviously, always try to get a good deal!

163 ppi is poor on a screen this size at best, not sure what they were thinking with they made the screen on this.

Will JL price match this do you know?

They might do. Best to contact them and see. If they do then you know who to buy from.

Nope. This is already outdated and in 2 years it will be obsolete. If you want you iPad to retain 60% of its value then you need to get the Retina version.

Android does have Half Life 2 and Portal. I wonder if they'll make it to iOS.

yes you pay a premium for apple products and personally I buy my tablets based upon getting the best product for the lowest price but apple products are simple get out of the box and off you go, hence me getting my 'I don't do computers' dad an i-pad last Christmas .

would not buy myself but apple products are great for novices.

Only on Nvidia Shield... which is a completely different device than a tablet.

The "Android has all of the major apps" argument is more than fair when it comes to phones but it doesn't get a pass when it comes to tablets. It may have most major apps but the majority of them are still not optimised for larger screens. Just look at Facebook and Twitter. Two of the most used apps on touchscreen devices and they still look terrible on Android tablets.
As much as I like Android on phones, if you want a well-optimised experience on a larger screen, an iPad is the only way to go. This is a good price.

It's a tablet with a fan and a joypad.
Chances are it'll end up on K1 tabs too, as they won't need a fan for the same level of performance.

I wouldn't pay this much for a non retina iPad.

First person shooters and role playing games (Fear / Fallout / Half Life in my case) play so much better with a mouse and keyboard (or a joypad if you're adept enough). In my opinion the tablet doesn't lend itself well to these types of games.

Infinity Blade looks good as a showcase but I couldn't play it well via a touch screen. Therefore what games a tablet has available is a moot point for me. The app stores of both android and apple are certainly plentiful with choice so for me it's about build quality and functionality.

It will be interesting to see how Nvidia's Shield does in the market place. I have mixed feelings on the idea but good luck to them.

thats so true you could buy 1 of your dell tablets for half the price and it only last 6 months hahahaah ,, Poor people **** off apple !!!!!
