Good deal, but since iOS 8, 16 gb Apple devices are of no use.

One of the worst ideas they stick to.

Not for their bottom line it isn't... Consumer abuse is a major part of the immense profits Apple posted today. And I write that as an owner of an iPad. Also voted hot.

It's more the processors on the older devices that struggle with iOS 8 than the storage size.

Typing on my 1 yr old iPad Air 16Gb wifi. 16gb don't bother me at all. Your mileage may vary.
Oh my 16gb iPhone6 is fine too. People get what you actually need, not the best available

Another one is not allowing these to be used as a phone. I know its a bit "Dom Jolly" but I always use a Bluetooth Headset and an iPad mini would make an excellent all in one gadget for some people. Most Andrid tablets with SIMCard features can make calls. But oh no! Not Apple devices.

What the majority see on the shelf/screen is the price. They dont see the limitations of the product. People will buy this and only realise when the storage runs out why the product was reduced. Most people don't know there is no sd card on apple products.

You mean the google Nexus?

Got a 64GB version for £225, just wait for good deals.

OK you've got your new LTE tablet... now try to find a decent occasional user data SIM that does not expire your credit after 30 or 90 days.

Aren't they this price everywhere? Or am I missing something with the LTE thing?

Yeah but you can put and SD card on via a £25 cable... It's not that hard...

On the used market the price difference is around £20-40, there's no real need to pay £100 more for this functionality (even less so when you have to factor in the data charges).

Yes, but that's used, not new. How much is one of these on the used market?

Not available anymore

Nonesense.
We have iPad Air,iPad Mini 2, iPhone 4s and iPhone 6,all 16GB and all with iOS 8,large selection of Apps, still 6 GB free on each..while 32 GB is more space and better but ,16GB is also quite decent.
there is also cloud storage for those who want to archive tons of photos and videos.
No problem woth16GBat all.

Memory is so cheap 48gb is about £15 yet Apple can charge £80 for the price difference between devices.

Removable memory is only an issue when you are being charged way too much for memory in a close device.

I received an iPad mini 16g for Christmas from dgtr. I would be grateful if you would give a little more info on your suggestion, please. I have Googled for info and looked on Apple Store but I'm unsure what to look for. Is it called 'lightning to Camera card reader'?

Use this link to the official one. To be fair you can probably get away with a non Apple one but those naughty apple boys don't like it when you use none apple made stuff so might not work. This will work and will give you the ability to view photos etc you have snapped on your ipad. Delete them off when not required.

Is it as easy as my Asus T100 transformer with Micro SD and USB on the keyboard - No. It is really easy so should not stop people buying apple for this reason.

Easy. Three. Just buy the internet daily add on for 50p for 120mb if the free 150mb for topping up has expired.
