Later this month. Exact date not announced yet.

Not really. The only thing the nexus has going for it is the high res screen. Everything else the ipad is superior for, thanks to the dismal google play store selection for android tabs. The software also needs a lot of fixing, as it often hangs for no reason at all, where as iOS7 seems to be optimised quite well for even the A5 chip in the mini.

Both devices suck compared to the new ipad obviously, but surprisingly, both are far quicker than the note 10.1 refresh due to touchwiz destroying the s800.

1920 x 1200 full HD @ 323 PPI Vs 1024 x 768 @ 163 PPI
1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro with 2GB of RAM Vs dual-core Apple A5 silicon and 512MB of RAM
Wireless charging,NFC and GPS. vs No Wireless charging,No NFC and WiFi-assisted GPS on the LTE models

Yes the Nexus only has the screen going for it...and the price difference.

Yeah but the iPad Mini has an Apple badge, that beats those specs hands-down...

Ah the age old game of comparing specs when the platforms are completely different.

It's just embarrassing for you fandroids now tbh. Especially after the 1.3GHz dual core A7 raped the snapdragon 800 in the nexus 5.

You wouldnt know software optimisation if it hit you in the face.

Silly fanboys.

Oh and enjoy your massively overpriced wireless dock which takes 10+ hours to achieve a full charge and the massively useful feature that is NFC. Seriously, ask every person in the street what NFC is, they'll likely run away screaming before you have a chance to talk them through it. Only the most hardcore of fandroids use or care about it in any way. Even Samsung know how bad the stock android implementation is, hence why S-Beam was born (wifi direct ftw).

As I say, the only advantage is screen res. All you have done is prove my point beyond any doubt. Have fun living in denial.

*Grabs popcorn*

A lot of sheep have been let out of the Apple barn today....

Why do people always bring up specs? The iPad never lags for me, and apps open very quickly, so I couldn't care less if it was faster or not. The screen is a retina display too; it's nice enough for me, and surely everyone else too? The software is all that matters to me, and I think iOS is the most pleasant way forward.

This is a deal for the iPad Mini not the iPad Mini with Retina.

Personally we mostly use tablets for movies anyhow so it really depends what people want or expect out of there tablets. Many wish for gaming, others use mainly for shopping, surfing and reading emails. There are many tablets out there that will suit each persons needs and price range.

hmm new nexus or this? Sorry nexus wins all day long.
