Like your trousers

Got myself one of these and sold off my iPad 2. Never looked back-I love it. No issues with only 16 GB. Being an iPad, I don't tend to keep music and photos on it

Agreed, can't understand how 1gb of ram is enough, especially running new 64bit system.
Is suppose it's a way of selling something that will slow down lots with updates so you get fed up and buy the new one with 2gb of ram (like my nexus 7 FHD,that has never crashed, slowed down, and has run perfectly)

or, because Apple have their own OS and software, then can make the best use of 1GB rather than trying to cater for a million different setups.

£209 refurbished from Apple - store.apple.com/uk/…_fi (edit: that might be the 'original' version without Retina display)

i have an Android tablet before you start

I would say IOS utilises memory resources better than Android. Look at the iPhone 4S which only has 512mb and is still a decent phone. Now compare that to a phone running Android with 512mb and you'll understand what I'm talking about.

Hahaha, cause Gun Metal is wrong, you know, kids might try shooting each other with iPads.

Both the Xbox 360 and PS3 have managed 8+ years on half of this.

This is just a stupid comparison!

£50 off RRP? Heat.

Has anyone ordered from "Powerful" or any of the other third party sellers selling the latest iPad Air or Minis at a significant discount on the RRP? I'm very tempted to buy the 32gb iPad Air going for £413.99 as it's being fulfilled by Amazon - just kinda nervous how they're selling them at these prices - I've e-mailed one these third party sellers this morning asking them if the product has a UK plug and clarification on the actual colour of the iPad but haven’t got a response yet.

You're a stupid comparison ...

Talking of comparisons, I love the 'Retina' display terminology. They obviously don't want to use proper technical terms because then it becomes apparent that these 'Retina' devices compare pretty poorly to other manufacturers' similarly priced kit. Apple really are the masters of marketing over technology.

Does anyone know if the seller provides a full VAT receipt?

I emailed one of the third party sellers (not powerful) this morning asking this. I haven't got a reply yet. In my experience third party sellers on Amazon are pretty poor at giving VAT receipts.

I Ordered one this morning it's on its way will reach tomorrow I will report back tomorrow

I bought this and sold my nexus 7 2nd gen
Best thing i ever done
I paid £315 for mine -£120 in club card vouchers i had lol
Right this sec im watching sky sports 1 an its just perfect
1gb is more than enuf for watching films and playing games

Ps i bought mine from tesco lol
Same space grey and 16gb
Bought a cheap smart cover for like £5 and it works perfect

Bought one of these a few months back for £237 (play.com + some cashback for using a Lloyds account) to replace my 2012 Nexus 7. It's ended up replacing my Nexus 10 too. I hate to say it, as I used to be a bit of an Android fanboy, but the iPad is on a completely different level in terms of hardware quality, software stability and general feel.

For me, it was worth the premium over the equivalent Android device.

Just to let you know, I emailed Powerful and ELife yesterday...two third party sellers, selling iPad Air 32gb for around £414.

ELife replied today to only one of my three questions....the third one about a VAT receipt. Their response...

"Please note that we will not provide VAT invoice for the orders."

They completely ignored my first two questions about colour and if it has a UK plug.

It's that kind of service that makes me weary about third party sellers on Amazon.

I don't see how. It's proof that the level of RAM makes no difference if it's used properly.

Received mine today. Brand new sealed with uk plug. Very happy.

1gb ram in a tablet is fine, its a tablet ffs!

Has anyone yet managed to find a third party supplier of iPad Mini fulfilled by Amazon who WILL provide a VAT receipt?? Many thanks

Hi, for the record, Powerful never replied back to me which probably means they don't provide a VAT receipt. At those kind of prices...I'm guessing they're not VAT registered and not charging VAT.

Thanks for the swift response, much appreciated. Your thoughts echo my own but I always live in hope!

Thanks people I've got a nexus and think I'm now going to do exactly the same.
