£55 off RRP can't be bad!

Play also sell iPad Airs for £329 during Monday madness sometimes. The post always gets removed on here though.

£319 on Play.com
£309 on Zavvi

Invalid links, can't find the deal on the site either.

Links are fine.

Best purchase ever, use mine daily! Scorching for this price.

£319 at John Lewis with 2 year warranty

Links are fine. Could be even cheaper with banking discount if my mate will do the purchase.

How long is warranty? This could be 2000-3000 degrees hot this week.

I bank with LloydsTSB. Everybody send me your money and i'll buy them in bulk. I'll give you the cashback I pinky swear.

It may seem suspicious but please send the money via Western Union. I wouldn't usually ask it's just i'm being held captive by my rich uncle at the moment...in Uganda.

Apparently you need an account with the bank to get the deal done. That could shave off another £26.40 off the deal.

Apparently you can get £100 if you switch for to their account, then may get 15% off the £264.00 making it around £225 in total which makes this deal Chilli chilli hot!!!!!!!

Staff here must have a reason for removing it, but a quick google confirms it.

I've seen it happen twice since that date. Something to look out for in future perhaps.

Bought the kids an ipad air each for Xmas. Feeling a bit left out so this is great and I have ordered. Many thanks.

Ah one of those times appears to have been part of cyber Monday. But you never know.

Got 2 of these in my house. Brilliant bits of kit: so fast and smooth. The retina display looks fantastic too.

Yes I bought one the first time around, it was a couple of weeks after launch, I took my £369 one back to Tesco!

Ordered, thanks for posting this deal. I actually picked up 64GB WiFi + 4G first gen mini last month, but can't refuse the retina model at this price. Now i need to sell mine...

Still too much for this device when the Nexus 7 is much better, but still a hot deal due to saving on RRP

Is 16gb a decent size memory on this? Want to get my wife one for a B'day present but don't want half the memory eaten up by IOS7.

around £240 after quidco+halifax cashback
not bad for retina mini, normal mini is £219

Used mine every day since launch use it for all the apps and games music I want and still have space. You can also buy extra apple cloud storage for a few pounds, much cheaper than the £80 memory hike. Best tablet ever honestly wouldn't part with mine.

Quidco isn't stackable with Halifax, it will say they both track but Halifax just cancel the cash back I tried it back in November and the cash back still hasn't paid out. Says I earned £30 but never had it

Cheers Spidey!

Quick tip for non-Halifax/Lloyds buyers: If you pay with a Barclaycard (World) Mastercard you get 12 months additional warranty after the manufacturer’s warranty expires, for up to 24 months from the date of purchase.
Extended warranty starts from the date the original manufacturer’s warranty ends and lasts for up to one year from that date. Cover is limited to a maximum of 24 months from the date of purchase. (This applies to any electrical item costing more than £50)

Great price. Tempted... even though I don't *need* one at all. Could use it as a fourth "monitor" via AirDisplay, etc.

If only they'd ditch Android it might be a decent tablet, as it is. No, it's really not. Best non-Apple tablet? Perhaps; it has decent underlying hardware.
Unfortunately it's still as ugly as some of the cheapest of Android tablets.

Hot. Feel sorry for those suckers who shed out £219 for the horrible first gen mini a few weeks back.

Do you get the additional 10% discount by using barclays debit card?

To hell with it. Ordered myself one in Space Grey. Got to put my tax refund to good use after all!
If I don't end up using it much, I'll just eBay it, at this price I think it's worth the risk. But I suspect it'll come in rather handy for work.

Thanks for posting this Chanchi32!

I can't see why you can't i could be wrong but i thought halifax cashback is triggered when the purchase is made on the card

Quick bit of advice please. Shall I buy this or the ipad air? I use my ipad 2 every day for a couple of hours surfing the web. Will the smaller screen be ok do you think.

Either will be a massive improvement, both have the same resolution (2048 x 1536) retina display, with the Air's being 9.7-inch and the Mini being 7.9-inch (diagonally that is, so only a 1.8" difference).

Personally I've always preferred the size of the Mini, as it's much easier to hold with one hand; even if the Air and Mini were the same price, I'd still opt for the Mini. This is a very subjective decision though, some people will prefer bigger, some smaller.

No matter which you go for, you're going to have to get used to a change in device size at first anyway as even the Air is so much thinner than the 2 (though the actual screen area on both is the same). If you're not sure, I'd pop into any store you know of that sells them if you get a chance tomorrow before this expires (phone shops, larger Tescos, John Lewis, Apple stores, etc.) and give them a try.

thanks very much. I will take your advice and pop to a shop later and have a look at the size. Great price tho.
