It seems to be £709.00 if you buy it as part of a bundle which starts at £733.97.

Must be a product refresh coming

My mistake, but a bit of a problem though if you want Space Grey (the colour I was looking at and would want).

Think I would rather book a holiday

I gave in earlier this week and bought it at £709, used the 10% off voucher that Argos gave out to those who ordered the Xbox One Minecraft deal. Brought the price down to £638.10 and Quidco has tracked it at £19.14. All in all not a bad deal

It’s expensive and it’s an ‘incremental’ upgrade that Apple are famous for but it’s a really impressive bit of technology - 120Hz display, incredibly accurate colour, speakers that would shame most external Bluetooth ones, one of the (if not the) fastest tablets you can buy and great battery life. It was the only thing I deemed worthy to upgrade to from an iPad Air 2 that I used for 3 years (and I only lost about £100 in depreciation) and that really says something.

I, like many others, use this enough day in day out to justify the price and it’s not an ‘either or’ situation. If you want an iPad, don’t waste your money on the bargain basement ‘new iPad’, buy this or buy a used Air 2 or last gen Pro if you don’t want to spend the extra

Just for comparison - I paid £519 for my 64gb one from very. Had £100 voucher which was paid within 30 days.

I got my 64gb one from Very for £495 plus topcashback of around £30 and it is a fantastic piece of kit. The camera on it is utterly brilliant. If you can get a deal on one of these then i highly recommend getting one

How did you manage to get it to £495?

It was a deal on here where Very had a 20% off code that worked on ipads when using buy now pay later.

Apple is very strict about its resellers reducing my prices. The only time they allow it is for discontinued (superseded) models or imminent product refreshes.

Do you have to pay monthly for the card? What happens after you payed the full price due, do you have still buy something monthly?

Thanks

Do not worry, no new iPad till next year.
buyersguide.macrumors.com/

Apple “quietly “ raised the cost of this iPad from £709 to £769 at the last launch. I would probably say that argos havent caught up and will probably increase the price soon. Hot from me.

If we didn’t have Brexit on the cards then the pound would be surging and this would be on sale for under £600!

Also, Argos is awful to buy from- they are so problematic about returns if you experience problems. Amazon any day.

Got ipad pro 10.5 64gb for £500 on eBay brand new is it good deal?

Never had issues with argos personally , just the other day I had a blender which broke after 8 months, they offered me replacement no questions asked

I don't know what you mean by card but all you do is select the term you want to pay it over there is a choice and then make sure you pay it off on time. I did it over 3 months which made it feel much less of a hit on my wallet anyway and once paid off that's it you're done. You still have the credit account with them if you want to buy other items the same way.

I only took the credit account because of the 20% offer and was shocked it worked as you never get discounts on brand new apple products anywhere. It was one of my favourite deals from on here because of that.

edit: if you meant credit card it isn't a credit card it's a credit account so no monthly fee.

How's the iPad pro diff to normal iPad? Surely not a hot deal if it is a tablet os?

I think the ‘bargain basement’ iPad is the best value of the lot. I’ve got one and it does everything I need it to do and its not badly priced for an Apple device. Most people just use iPads for browsing, online shopping etc so for most anything above is overkill and the extra tech will never be noticed.

Even the Apple employees said either get the 12.9” pro or just get the regular iPad. Not enough difference between the ‘new iPad’ and the 10.5 Pro to justify the price difference.

Yes and I meant if that’s the iPad experience you want you’re better off getting an iPad Air 2 which has vastly better screen technology or a used first-gen Air which has the same chassis and screen tech as the ‘new iPad’ but can be found for well under £200 now. I appreciate that not everyone needs or wants the latest.

I doubt every Apple employee echoes that though, the Pro is 12.9 is both massive and heavy and then you’re into near Retina Macbook territory... I sold mine as I ended up rarely carrying it on me.

debatable, to me Ipad PRO= standard model like Iphone 7/8 etc, Ipad 2017 is basically Iphone C with last year's spec, for example Ipad air 2 or any previous ipad launch with same cpu as iphone of same gen, In 2014 the Iphone 6 launch for A8 CPU, ipad launch with A8X CPU. Yet Iphone 8 launch with A11, Ipad pro with A10, ipad with A9. if Ipad 2017 launch with A10 then i would agree with you

Ah right, I thought you were saying only the pro iPads were worth getting. I was going to get the Air 2 instead of the 'new iPad' but there weren't any decent deals on them at the time and I got student discount at Apple.

No I agree. Once the novelty of that screen wore off I'd regret buying it. For that price I would much rather have a rMBP or iMac.

Although when you consider that you can have a brand new first gen 12.9" iPad Pro for less than an iPhone 8, it doesn't sound that bad! I think that says more about how badly priced the iPhone 8 is though.

Yes, that’s what I meant. If you don’t want to spend the money on the Pro, I’d advise looking for a used Air 2 or 1 vs the new iPad.

As to the big iPad Pro 12.9 well, screen size isn’t directly proportional to intrinsic value remember, I can’t fit an iPad Pro 12.9 in my pocket, nor can I make calls on it!

Yikes D: I want it in space grey and I don't really want to compromise on the colour it's in when I'm paying so much money.
