Through Edustore I presume
Don't you need to be a school or establishment?
Ahh ok the post suggests you can just use your student email but I guess that won't work.

No it's through xma (the company behind them), but they're authorized and quite ok. You can obviously use apple service for the official warranty period.

Don't have a uni address anymore... On the lookout for a regular deal. Still, heat!
Superb company. Just ordered one, thanks OP, I enquired last week and they were still waiting on stock. Always try to get my Apple gear through them, after sales and warranty support is excellent.

Why would you want to return it out of interest?

I just like to know before I buy anything from anywhere really.

Fair enough I suppose, I can understand with clothes that may be the wrong size or something, or even if this was a graded/refurb item and the condition might be worse than expected, but being brand new and so many reviews saying how good it is, can't see any reason for a return.

No - courier pick up after an email requesting return.
Been waiting for this, ordered a silver one
If this pandemic hasn't taught students not to blow £700 on tech and get into debt instead of saving for bad days then nothing will.

And? Another student exclusive?

Was it aimed exclusively at people with potentially no jobs, potentially relying on mum and dad, potentially at the beginning of life learning to manage money? Being enticed into choosing tech over paying rent?

The sentiment is fine but that's a lot of assumptions you're making there. Tech vs rent is a false dichotomy. For many students, this would be a tool to use to help their studies or an alternative to a more expensive laptop. For a lot of people, this is an excellent way to save £40 that would otherwise end up in Apple's pockets.

This is a high end tablet surpassing the cost of many high spec laptops, how much more expensive does it need to be? There are plenty of decent cheaper options putting more than £40 in their pocket (forget apple) for essentials

So you agree by coming back with 'you said alot of other things too ' and I said potentially to all of them too.

I don't think you read it right and I was referring to my deal that the commenter commented on not this one, so never disputed it as being a tool for students... Sounds like your the smarter one then.

I didn't say nobody should buy it, can you point out where I said that?

Is this you trying to feel important? You've got the right name for it.

Ok ' The Ego' you are important. Happy now?

It really doesn't surpass the cost of a high spec laptop. If you need it for drawing, creation, note-taking etc., there's nothing better than it.

I used an iPad Pro to help build a software development and consulting business whilst at university. Without it, it would have been a lot harder. Creating assets in Affinity Designer, VPNing into a more powerful computer whilst at a cafe, etc. - whilst also being the best device I ever owned for reading, note taking and watching lectures. The business now turns over enough to pay all my bills passively whilst I have secured a full time job. Most students are not stupid, they are not going to buy this over food and rent. But if they can, why not, especially if it will help them with their studies? Some spend excess income on alcohol and clothes, some on food, some on tech.

And I'm sure every student buys it for that reason

All the best
