IPad Pro Gold 128GB WiFi @ Rakuten £680 with XMAS10 Code

IPad Pro Gold 128GB for £680 with the XMAS10 code sounds like a good deal to me.
I know, they are pricey, but it is a time for me to replace my IPad2 (not air) anyway and the Apple Pencil (extra) sounds very tempting to me.

Technically, the code is supposed to be 10% off, but seems to be limited to £40 , so getting £720-£40=£680 at the checkout.

The space grey 128gb is £720 with the extra 10% off but you get over £100 in points

'IPad Pro Gold £128' is misleading, I just bought 4 based on that.

I know, the space gray would be my first choice, but for £40 cheaper, I will take the gold.
Incidentally, the Silver is also available now for £680 (wasn't when I was ordering).

who pays that much for a tablet - I mean really!!! Don't get me wrong, they look pretty, but it would need to be gold for me to pay that much !!! - rather have a good laptop - even one of the convertible laptop/tablet deals

would anyone really but this over the surface pro? I'm assuming that is the competition for this product right.

I've got all that, of course. To me, the value comes from the instant readiness and, sometimes, having it on a side of laptop/computer with the reference book open on it. A4 size will be even better for all reference materials.
I also have a high hopes on the Apple pencil that I plan to buy. I hope that it will be good for drafting and sketching. I value instant readiness highly - should be ready when inspiration comes. Incidentally, Windows 8/10 kills my inspiration on sight.
Don't want the keyboard/cover for extortionate price - as you said, I have laptop for typing.

if you were truly into drafting - as I am - you wouldn't use a tablet to do it - either use a HUION or similar - or a drawing table as I do also - otherwise, your just doodling IMO of course

Won't argue with that :-)
But I am not doing it professionally - more like doing small projects for fun or home or both.
Really hope that this will replace my Wacom tablet and the old IPad 2.
Will get Brownie points from my wife for having less hardware :-)

Is this UK stock does anyone know? I haven't ever purchased from Rakuten??

Very unlikely to be UK stock - I bought an IPad Air 2 and it looks like it came from Japan. However other than the charger (which they provide an adapter / you can buy a UK one quite cheaply) it is the exact same, and is covered by same Apple standard 12 month warranty. Even though it isn't UK stock it does appear to be located in the UK (or nearby) as my IPad Air 2 arrived a couple days after ordering.

You need to weigh up whether the saving is worth not being protected by UK consumer laws. Items bought from Apple now come with 12 months warranty no quibble, 24 months after a gentle push, longer if really pushed and depending on the fault.

iPads bought from this seller will come with 12 months warranty and that's all.

Sorry you are wrong, all imports are supported by Apple UK regardless.

Please re-read my post and let me know if you are still confused.

I don't know what more cover you want.

If you buy from a UK retailer, you are covered by the SOGA. If you buy from Apple, you're smart because they handle the SOGA pretty well, especially in recent times. If you buy from another seller, your rights under the SOGA may not be as well respected. If you buy a Japanese iPad, Apple's 12 month warranty is all you have.

I just got the same deal using the code JANSALE10 - got a silver 128gb for £680 with free delivery and £36 rakuten points! Complete bargain - thanks!!!!
