64GB is very low for a phone of this price with no option for expandable …64GB is very low for a phone of this price with no option for expandable memory. Should be 128GB bare minimum in 2019.

Is it really though? Most content is streamed and backed up to the cloud these days so 64GB really is quite adequate. I know people who have 128, 256, 512GB handsets and none have exceeded 64GB with general usage. They went out of their way to put on 20 movies they’ll never watch just to say they could do it. It’s the same with 5G and unlimited data, it’s not really required for mobile use, it’s just a d*ck swinging contest.
A few points:

1) iPhone sales are very high and the XR was the biggest selling iPhone last year; this is likely to be the same. A refurb is not indicative of lack of sales but of a customer return. Of course there are always going to be people who want to drone on about certain manufacturers’ sales as if that makes any difference to the legitimacy of the deal.

2) 64GB of storage is enough for a great many people, however if 64GB is not enough for you because you need to store 60GB of music then of course you wouldn’t be buying this model anyway.

3) the notch is ugly but it houses arguably the single best and most reliable biometric on any phone, so it has an excuse. I would rather have this notch than a teardrop notch like on my P30 Pro, simply because the Face ID is just so good that it’s worth more to me day-to-day than smaller top bezels. If you don’t like big notches then of course you wouldn’t be buying this anyway so it’s a non-issue.

Sales are that low they’ve had to up their production and won’t catch up until Xmas. Must be struggling....
Masteryates10/10/2019 11:47

And not forgetting the lack of a FHD screen Lazy.

Funny this, I put my iPhone X (OLED 458ppi) next to my colleagues iPhone 11 (LCD 326ppi) and no one we asked could tell the difference.

We then put them both next to a OnePlus 7 Pro and different was negligible to not noticeable. Unless you're taking screenshots on the phone and then displaying them on a larger display and then zooming in, you really can't see the difference. Apple and others should really start focusing on higher refresh rates as that is noticeably different.

Great deal for a basically brand new iPhone 11 considering retail. Shame it's 64GB

Don't they do this every year though? Produced a limited number on release to build demand? Otherwise you'd think they'd learn from previous years they didnt have enough supply

Problem is it’s almost seasonal as they have a huge surge when released then obviously slows massively so hard to predict what surge size will be.

Not that hard considering they release at the same time every year and the holidays are also the same time every year
Red hot for what is likely just a customer return! Black or the white and i’d have been all over this but red don’t do it for me.
a refurb already? Hasnt this just come out?
Warranty info?
It's not selling because it's so damn ugly nobody wants to be seen with one for any price.

Have to agree Jello. That notch is about as ugly as it gets. (Not as bad as the Pixel 3 XL though!)

Good point dan. How much video can 64GB hold, if you are a user who takes the highest quality video? With camera quality going always up, this would be my concern with 64GB these days.

Then it’s just a case of memory management add what you want back on, yes it’s great to have as big as you can but most people will get away with smaller sizes with no issues.

4k60 is ~400MB per minute so lets say you have 30GB free on your handset that would be ~75 minutes recording time. If you're regularly doing that in one session, you should purchase the higher capacity phone. The original statement was all handsets should have at least 128GB when in fact, that's not really required.

Thanks for the detailed reply Dan. Wow, only 75 minutes of recording time; that's not much at all.
Sales have been falling, so Apple put up prices, and then said they would stop giving out sales numbers.

Now is the time to sell Apple stock before the crash.
I ordered black originally from @MrSwitch deal last week. Account manager gave me a call yesterday offering a white or red one as they didn’t have any black returns and couldn’t provide an estimate of when they would. Opted for Red which was delivered at 09:50 this morning. Essentially brand new with all accessories still with protective covers, warranty till 30/09/2020. Got to say I am impressed with the service and speed of delivery, account manager said to do not hesitate to give them a call if there’s anything else at all they could do for me. Definitely worth it for £130 saving.

It's gonna be hard to back up 60GB of music though
Ordered, thanks for the heads up, I had ordered one from eglobal says it was in stock but 1 week later and still no despatch, thanks

It all depends on what you are viewing, (i.e. a bright image vs dark,) and viewing angle for me dan. Face on with a bright image, both displays are very alike. An image with deep dark colours, off angle, the difference is much larger. Each to there own of course.

I have a 15 minute 1080p video that takes up 2GB. That is why I have a 256GB sd card. This phone records 4K. How much 4K can you store on 64GB?

I’ve just upgraded from a 64GB iPhone 8, to a 64GB iPhone 11. Space has never been an issue for me.
I prefer to keep my pictures etc backed up online rather than local and with risk of loss.

I have cloud backup too but there is no chance I could make do with 64GB for my use but each to their own. I'm in the boat of I'd rather not need it and have it than need it and not have it.
