No as all Carphone Warehouse phones are unlocked. Was just explaining same to my friend with six months on contract. Also just checked and you can port number to ID at any point. Just for this handset it’s £32.45 a month from Apple direct and that’s without the cashback. As it’s the only flagship small form factor handset around now Google have abandoned those on the Pixel range makes it and easy buy as will most likely be the last mini too.casben27/12/2021 10:11

After deliberating on whether to or not, ordered the midnight colour for 27th. Decided that I would pass on the sim to my wife who is currently with a 30 day contract with Plusnet, so netting a further saving.
If you are after an official case they are currently £29 for silicone or £39 for leather (colour dependant) from John Lewis (which is the one I have ordered) and Amazon have also price matched these.(y)
Got a DPD message saying my phone will be delivered 17.01.22, just got home and it’s been delivered to my neighbour already!
Didn’t expect to even get it so really pleased!
Just got a call from my local Currys to say my phone is ready to be collected! It was supposed to delivered to store not for a couple of more weeks. I didn’t even phone them up to chase or ask for quicker delivery

Not had an iPhone since the 1st or 2nd one…been android since. I made the switch to this when it came out…took a bit of time to get used to the gestures, but pretty happy with it now. I was getting sick of getting flagships, only for them to be worth a couple of hundred quid a year later. Also…bugs with android auto with various different manufacturers and lack of compact androids without compromises.
This phone is really powerful, camera is decent with good OIS, everything works well and the size is perfect!! Pretty sure I’ll stick with iOS for a few years to come…unless a pixel mini or something comes out.- I'd just like to comment to say that however you look at it, this is an absolutely stonking deal for anyone after a 13 series. Having owned both the 13 and 13 Mini I actually prefer the Mini for its pocketability, and for the fact that it offers a genuinely great camera in such a small size.
Props to the deal poster for this. - Seriously tempted by this deal, but Apple is rumoured to announce an iPhone SE3 in March/April, which’s supposed to at a much better price point than the mini.

I was iPhone, switched to android with a ported number, then switched back to apple and I only seem to receive “some” text messages now, and apparently it’s a known “thing” but doesn’t seem to affect every android to iPhone switch. Very frustrating but using WhatsApp for everything seems to help. Weirdly I can receive on my iPhone, texts from any other iPhone but only from certain android users. Eg, my wife’s personal Samsung I can’t get texts from but her Samsung work phone I can… (for ref’, the switch was apple on ee to voda on android then smarty (3) back to apple)
iMessage won’t be responsible for this as it only affects iPhone users sending to iPhone users. I wonder if your wife’s Samsung has RCS rich communication or ‘chat features’ activated on the messaging app and is trying to send messages via an IP protocol to your old number? I've wondered this too, a quick search suggests that there are no tethering/hotspot restrictions with ID, But depending on if you've set a usage cap, you could end up with substantial costs once you breach the 100GB limit.

I tried live chat on ID Mobile, they couldn't give me a date. So I rang CPW on 0370 111 6565, I provided my order number, and they advised delivery on the 20/01. So like you said, I guess its a case of wait and see..
Still annoying though, next day delivery of things has made us extremely impatient!- Do it through the id mobile app I believe, wife did hers recently (edited)

I explained to them that this was wrong and agent offered me £100 voucher from CPW website- I asked to speak to manager- She increased the value to £175 as a cheque. Not fair but I agreed as I knew they were helpless- I have written an email to Ombudsman and cc cpw- will update here whats the outcome. I suggest call them and ask for compensation. The agent I spoke was Shara and manager was Micheal.
