Do not order via Tesco direct as your orders will be cancelled and you will need to wait for a refund, you can currently only order over the phone.

The tesco number for ordering is 0800 433 4994

So, can you clarify what exactly the deal is please?? Do you have to pay all the £699 upfront? What's upfront, and what is monthly?

read the two posters in the post just before yuors.

What!? Did you just see the title and reply? Some people.

You PAY upfront for the phone, then £20 a month for 12 months.

For the newest iPhone (4) 16GB version it's a total of £589. Over 12 months that works out to an average of £49.08 a month.

Cheers buddy!

I was looking at the thread yday and thought to wait...but this seems good! very good

Don't forget the clubcard points too =)

Looks too good to be true! I have paid £600 to have my 32GB tomorrow then will get a £15/month simplicity with unlimited texts, unlimited web + wifi and 300 mins.

JUst had it confirmed by the guy in my local Extra. Goes on sale at 0900hrs, not able to reserve one and they haven't been delivered yet so he doesn't know how many he is getting in. Confirmed the tariffs (heard him turning pieces of paper whilst he did so). WIth the 1000 clubcard points equalling £40 in rewards, this works out cheaper than a sim free from Apple (with quidco) and a sim only contract with quidco from vodafone.

Have some rep OP.

how does the 1000 points work? not a regular at tesco. i have a clubcard and a bunch of coupons i've been gettign in the mail valued at a few quid each (total about 15 quid). i'm assuming i can use this towards my order, and the 1000 points will get me MORE vouchers int he mail that i can use on shopping in store at a later date?

I wonder will you get triple clubcard points if you sign up a contract and pay upfront?

So does the maths work like this?

429 x 3 (triple clubcard bonus) + 1000 (sign up bonus) = 2287??!!!

so are they undercutting the Apple store on the PAYG phones? £20 cheaper than buying from Apple or will they then be locked to Tesco initially?

No, no, no, never use them in store

Go to the website, look at the rewards section, they're worth four times as much.

So buy your iphone and you'll get £40 back in rewards vouchers. Cant list th places to use them, there are too many!

they'll be locked, think theres a £20 charge to unlock them after 12 months

HOT. 12 months, and its cheap.

Alot better than Tesco 3GS deals previously

would they work on O2 then, locked? or only on tesco, which uses o2 but may have some sort of locking system?

2nd post picture =P But maybe just monthly bill =(

1000 Clubcard points sign up bonus on Pay monthly & Triple points for every £1 you spend on your monthly bill

Apologies for asking but I can't seem to find the iPhone 4 thread the OP mentioned.

Does anyone know if I can purchase a PAYG iPhone 4 from Tesco Mobile and insert my existing O2 12 month Simplicity SIM in there or is the phone locked to Tesco Mobile?

Edit: Another poster has beaten me to it and asked a similar question!

i think you get triple points for very pound you spend ....

Can I use another SIM in my Tesco phone?
If you wish to use another network's SIM, you will need to arrange for it be unlocked. If this is the case, you must not insert another operator's SIM card into the mobile without an unlatching code (which is not your PIN code). We will on request provide an unlatching code after 12 months starting from the date you activated your handset. If you activate your handset and use the Tesco Mobile network for less than 12 months before receiving an unlatching code, we will charge you a fee of £20 to unlock your handset.
If you wish to use Apple iPhone on another network we will only provide an unlatching code after 12 months or after the completion of any Pay monthly contract period. If the phone has been active for more than 12 months there will be no charge.
All Pay monthly contract handsets are eligible for an unlatching code after the completion of the Pay monthly contract period.
Please contact Customer care on 0845 301 4455 or call 4455 from your Tesco Mobile for further information on the qualifying period, applicable conditions and charges.

doesn't say anything about whether an O2 PAYG sim would work, but after 12 months you can unlock anyway for free

O2 will work. I got a 16GB 3GS on contract from Tesco a few months ago and O2 sims work in it no problem.

Surely this is for the G3 and does not actually state G4 as this is pre-order

get a sim cutter... seems like good deal for the iphone 4!!

I think you just need to contact o2 who will send out a micro-sim.....

The £35 tariff is great value compared to other deals, perfect for next years model release.

All new sim cards are micro sim cards but in a regular plastic casing, you can get the microsim card size online then print it out and use it as a guide to cut your sim to fit.

Id just like to point out, anyone thinking of getting this deal with the prospect of unlocking and popping your sim may struggle as the iphone 4 takes a micro sim
Hot deal btw

Anyone know if they will have it for midnight launch??

the prices are amazing compared to the other networks and you only in a 12 month contact not 18 or 24 plus the 1GB is excellent compared to Orange's 250MB.

So cut your existing sim down to micro size with a sharp tool or ask O2 for a new micro sim for your new phone

Think I'll wait a few years for when it's affordable :-D

Ridiculously overpriced.
